Modern Family Friendly with Extras on Quiet Cove

The pictures are very authentic. Most of the time the pictures look better than reality, but not this time. Very nice place and excellent location. Look forward to next year.

This home was a fantastic home! My family & I really enjoyed our stay! The house is very clean & lots of perks & was pleasantly surprised with how roomy it actually was (we had 3 families when we stayed there with children) - 2 master suites on main level (one of the master suite even has a jacuzzi!) & 2 more extra bedrooms in the basement. The kitchen pretty much has modern amenities & the washer/dryer was located in the kitchen too! We pretty much hung out on the screened in porch that has a TV - a bonus! The kids enjoyed playing in the hot tub outside too! There are lots of steps (pretty high) to get to your own dock which was a bit of a challenge especially for little kids but my sister & I ended up using those steps like an exercise tool if you're up for that :-)
We also rented a pontoon boat for 3 days from Parkway Marina (in Huddleston) which was only about 15-20 minutes away (driving) - convenient location! For the rest of the time we didn't have the boat, we ended up going to SML State Park which was also only about 15 minutes away & went there for a couple of times - again very convenient & great!
The house is also located in a community with a community pool & tennis courts; the owner had the community pool passes handy - that was a plus because we also took advantage of that!
There were lots of deer in the area so be careful driving but that was a hit with the little kids :-)
Over all, our experience with the home (and the vacation) was extremely awesome! We enjoyed every bit of it & the owner is very accommodating/helpful! We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation; plus, the weekly rental is very reasonable!

We really enjoyed & had a great time staying at this home - lots of perks & spacious for 3 families with children; had 2 master suites (one of the master suites even had a jetted tub in the bathroom) on the main level & half bath & 2 more bedrooms in the basement with a full bath.
We pretty much hung out on the screened in porch/deck area that has a TV - that was excellent! Although, it didn't have stairs to go down or to connect to the patio downstairs - you actually have to go down thru the basement to get access to the stairs to get to the dock. The stairway to get to the dock is quite a "challenge" especially if you have little children because it's pretty high but my sister & I ended up using those stairs as an exercise "tool" if you want to look at it that way :-)
We also rented a pontoon boat from Parkway Marina which was only about 15-20minutes away from the home - very convenient! The Smith Mountain Lake State Park is also only 15 minutes away from the home (again very convenient) which we also all enjoyed going to for a couple of days.
The kids also enjoyed playing in the hot tub :-)
Over all, this home came up to it's expectations & more...the owner is very accomodating & had everything well planned out. And another bonus is, the weekly rental price is very reasonable! My family & I would definitely recommend this home to anyone - we really had a great time with this home!
