Mission Bay Paradise

Unique property in an amazing location. Definitely not your basic beach house. Loved the grassy area in front of the beach -great if you wanted to relax outside without getting sandy. Very few homes directly on Mission Bay had grass out front. The views are better than advertised, including perfect views of Sea World's fireworks. There's a cool little cafe (Olive Cafe) one block away which we frequented for coffee, breakfast and ice cream. Right next to the cafe is Cheap Rents - where you can get any "beach toy" you need. I tried stand-up paddleboarding - perfect for the bay! We went to the Zoo, Sea World, La Jolla Cove, Point Loma, and Old Town during our week - but could just have easily spent the whole week relaxing on Mission Bay.
The home is incredibly well stocked. Each of the four bedrooms has it's own full bath - very rare in a "beach house". Three of the rooms have their own TV. We found the property in very good shape upon arrival, with a few minor issues that were quickly addressed. My only criticism would be that the parking is VERY tight. There are two tandem spots (back to back) in the garage - and our mini-van and full size sedan could not fit back to back, There is a third off street spot, but neither of our cars could fit in it without breaking the mirrors off first. Luckily there were some free overnight parking spots at the Bay recreation centers nearby. I would advise renters bringing multiple cars to make sure they are compact.
Overall our family had a fantastic stay at this Mission Bay property - and I would have no reservations about visiting again.
