Situated on the picturesque Garden Route in South Africa, this Italian villa style guesthouse perches on the banks of Sedgefield’s tranquil lagoon, and is positioned 500 m from the sea mouth with a beautiful view of the sea mouth. It’s a mere 30 minutes drive from George Airport and 15 minutes from its big sister tourist town Knysna. The guesthouse boasts magnificent uninterrupted 180 degree views over the Sedgefield lagoon, sea views, and views towards the spectacular Outeniqua mountains. The guest house sleeps 8 - 9 adults comfortably. At an extra charge per person per night, it can accommodate 11 persons.

Facilities:

Main house contains a large rose-wood panelled fully equipped kitchen with rose-wood counter; open-plan living area and dining area; television + decoder (guests to bring own smartcard), two en-suite bedrooms each with own balcony, 1 study / 3rd bedroom (contains sleeper couch) with own bathroom. Main bedroom contains a queen size bed, the second bedroom contains two single beds whilst the study contains a sleeper couch. Glass doors at the lounge and study lead to a large deck running almost the full length of the house, contains a built in barbecue / braai; glass doors from the main bedroom lead to a deck, all with spectacular views. Double garage and ample parking space.

Suite 1: Fully set up kitchen open-plan living area, bedroom with double bed, bathroom with shower and large bathtub, walk-in cupboard; glass doors lead out onto patio with lagoon views

Suite 2: Fully set up kitchen open-plan living area, bedroom with 3 single beds, bathroom with shower and large bathtub, walk-in cupboard; glass doors lead out onto a patio with lagoon views

Ground floor patio contains built-in braai and eating area.

About Mary-Jane Talbot

My husband I bought this wonderful house in 2011 and run it as a guesthouse which we are very proud of!. It is a lovely peaceful yet grand and awe-inspiring place. We love sitting on the wide veranda taking in the open spaces, sea and mountain views, and peeking over the edge to see what fish we can spot in the lagoon.

Beginning with a most friendly welcome and warm hospitality we enjoyed seven weeks of wonderful holidays in this beautiful house in Sedgefield. The house is full of space and light and gives a lovely sense of being close to the lagoon and the ocean from all its many windows and terraces. The view over the lagoon up to the mountains is great!! Breakfast, sundowner and coming back from dinner - we enjoyed every moment of the romantic scenery. The house is clean, light and very well furnished, well equipped kitchen, comfortable modern bathrooms. Sedgefield has the most beautiful beaches on the GARDEN ROUTE. Unspoilt, clean and a walking distance of 25 km to Knysna all along the beaches ( low tide) Good possibilities to do your shopping and Saturdays on the famous " FARMER MARKET". Sedgefield is situated between Wilderness and Knysna is a pearl on the Ocean. We can highly recommend this nice house for families or even for two couples looking for something special. We come back soon! Already homesick.
