Located in the centre of the Mont Blanc region Les Contamines Montjoie is a charming, unspoiled Alpine village with reliable snow. Les Contamines is a beautiful family orientated resort with plenty of restaurants, shops and bars but retains a village atmosphere. The ski area has breathtaking views over Mont Blanc and has 120km of uncrowded pistes which caters for all abilities with lots of wide open blue and red runs and has a wealth of varied off-piste terrain and a snow park. There are nursery slopes both in the village and at the main stations which are reached by 2 telecabines. Les Contamines lies at the head of a valley and 8km from the beautiful town of St Gervais. The chalet is 30 minutes drive from the chic alpine resort of Chamonix and 75 minutes from Geneva airport via the A40 motorway, which runs all the way to Le Fayet. Days out to Chamonix, Annecy, Megeve and the Mont Blanc Tramway are within easy reach by car.

Ski: The Les Contamines ski area offers snow-sure pistes from mid December to the end of April and has a ski school with English speaking instructors. Most of the skiing is above 1800m. The ski area has 120km of uncrowded pistes with 31 ski lifts, 44 pistes, including 3 nursery slopes in the village. For snow borders there are two snow parks, one in the village. Les Contamines has very good off piste for the more adventurous skier. It also has 29 km of cross country skiing and there are eight mountain restaurants. None of the 14 resorts of the Chamonix ski domaine are more than 45 minutes drive away including Les Grands Montets at Argentiere. Local ski guides can take you on a descent of the world famous Vallee Blanche. The chalet is situated only two km from the main cable car and the local ski bus stops on the main road. St. Gervais, which links with Megeve is only 10 minutes drive away giving a further 300km of skiing. You can buy a ski pass for the Domaine Evasion Mont-Blanc
