Lakewood Chalet is an elegant and spacious log home located on Shumont Lake, in the beautiful Rumbling bald Mountain Resort, at Fairfield Mountains of Lake Lure, North Carolina. Lake Lure is a resort destination about 45 minutes east of Asheville.
Located in the private community of Shumont Estates, this lakefront home sits among tall, mature trees on a large, nicely landscaped lot. A spacious driveway accommodates four plus (4+)vehicles.
The main floor features a great room with a stone, remote-operated gas-log fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer an unobstructed view of the trees and lake. There's also comfortable furniture, a TV, DVD and VHS, and Direct TV service. Light the room with cozy lamplight, adjustable downlights, or romantic candlelight. Every professionally-decorated room boasts a ceiling fan.
The large, fully-screened rear porches (one on each floor!) overlook the lovely landscaped rear yard, the outdoor deck, and the quiet lake beyond. Vacant lots on both sides assure quiet and privacy. A lighted stone pathway leads down to the lake and a private dock. Swim, sail, or just enjoy the sun. Behind the Chalet is a beautiful shaded deck with comfortable outdoor furniture, torch lights, another gas grill, and a huge outdoor free-standing wood-burning fireplace stocked with firewood. The Rumbling Bald Mountains Resort is a world-class golf, tennis & boating resort on Lake Lure. It features (2) 18-hole golf courses, tennis courts, private pool, private beach, private boat docks, a fitness center, and three restaurants. The Lakeside restaurant, a mile away on Lake Lure, has just hired a three-star chef and it's earning rave reviews.
Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina Lakewood Chalet may be enjoyed all year. Spring will showcase the beautiful flowers in full bloom; azaleas, dogwood, verbena, and lilies. Cancellation / Transfer Policy:
If a confirmed reservation is cancelled or transferred, a processing fee of $50.00 and the $20.00 Reservation Fee plus applicable North Carolina State Sales Tax will be charged against the Advance Confirmation Deposit. If the cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to arrival, all funds received will be forfeited, unless the property can be re-rented for the cancelled period for the full rent amount. Please allow 30 days from the date we receive your cancellation notice for any of the Advance Confirmation Deposit to be returned (applicable only if the unit was re-rented).
