SNORKEL AND SWIM AND ENJOY PARADISE AT HALE PILIALOHA!

Kapoho House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6); Studio sleeps 2 more!

Located in the highly desirable, ever-sunny Kapoho, Hale Pilialoha, the Friendship House has just been lovingly remodeled into two very private units. Enter through the beautiful, custom, double glass doors into the light-filled entry and into your warm and welcoming vacation home. This incredible hale has gorgeous cedar walls and is decorated with tropical furnishings in a beautiful Hawaiiana theme. The hale is just a five minute walk from the protected Wai Opae tide pools where swimming and snorkeling can be a daily occurrence. Just a five minute drive down the famous Red Road is the Ahalanui Warm Spring Park which is a geothermally heated swimming pond at the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Since Kapoho is located at the furthest most eastern edge of the Big Island, it enjoys drier weather and those comfortable ocean trade winds.

The upstairs hale will sleep up to six and if you need additional sleeping for two more, or you would just like to have your own private space from the rest of the crowd, then you can rent the entire hale which includes the downstairs Pilialoha Studio.

The studio has its own first floor private entrance and is as cute as a button with its own private kitchen, bath, and eating area. The studio can be rented either with the man house or separately.

The huge upstairs master bedroom suite, with queen bed, has it's own private lanai. Keep those lanai doors open and let the ocean sounds lull you to sleep. Downstairs, there are two more bedrooms. You'll have a queen in the 2nd bedroom, two twins in the third bedroom. The two downstairs bedrooms share a full bath.

For larger groups of guests... Also available for additional guests will be the cute as a button, light and airy Pilialoha Studio. It is located on the first floor of Hale Pilialoha and it features a complete kitchen, bath, and a front garden lanai. Booked for two, the rate is $50 per night or $350 per week. All this, and only a short walk to the Big Blue Pacific Ocean and the best snorkeling the East Side of Hawaii has to offer! When booked with Hale Pilialoha (the upstairs), the rate will be $135 per night for four or $845 per week and $2595 per month.

When You Book With Us, You'll Receive Our Personal Guide to East Hawaii - 22 SPECIAL THINGS TO SEE AND DO. Best Of All, 16 Of Them Are FREE! You'll also receive a full fold-out map of the Big Island and the 101 Things to Do Magazine.

We have stayed at this property four times, twice in the studio and twice in the main house. It is a secret piece of paradise which is why we return year after year. The house is immaculately clean, Hawaiian music is playing when we arrive and we are only steps to Wae Opae Tide pools and short 15 minute hike to the Champagne pond. It is also a quiet neighborhood . We donated a blender to the house last year but otherwise it has everything you need including snorkel gear and beach towels Highly recommend this as an affordable house for a family or couple for romantic getaway. We will keep coming back.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here

I stayed here for one month in December and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Upon arriving there was a welcome letter with helpful info along with chocolates and sweets.

Jeana really looked after me from the beginning to the end, sharing all the good inside tips about the area and without her the trip would have been only half as good.

The unit has a separate upstairs and downstairs with everything you need, the units are only one house back from the ocean and you can actually see glimpses of the ocean from the back. I loved being able to walk to the tidal pools early in the morning, beating all the crowds.

I frequently visited the local farmers markets for local fruit and veg and met many colourful characters.

Pahoa was a favourite, the town reminded me of walking back into the seventies, the local are so laid back and friendly.

I will be back next year for sure!

This was the perfect place for us to stay! Loved the quick walk to the tidepools & Champagne Pond. The two decks were great for relaxing meals, drinks and conversation.

Thank you!

From the Guestbook - WHAT A WONDERFUL HOME-AWAY-FROM-HOME!!

We arrived a little apprehensive having not stayed here before but quickly fell in love with the house and all the personal touches. Having such great books to refer to and your "house book" with all the local favorites (restaurants, snorkeling & farmers markets) was great!

This was our group's 1st time on this side of the island in February & the locals did say they had been going to the Kona side to "dry out" :) - We still loved the tide pools, even venturing out into the amazing coral beds further out! Rainy days were spent playing cards and telling stories.

Driving into Hilo, to the end of the Red Road and checking out Mauna Loa Macnut Factory was fun also.

Thank you so much & we'll certainly be back - hopefully do this house!

3rd Trip to Hawaii!

This is our 3rd trip to Hawaii (Oahu twice), 1st trip to the Big Island. AWESOME PLACE! We had a great time. If this is your first visit, then do the "Free Things to Do" pamphlet that the property managers provided, great advice! I personally got some great images of the volcano and experienced a 4.2 earthquake at 4:00 a.m. at the Volcano Park. While shooting, the ground shook for a couple of seconds! WOW! :) What an experience! We'll be back! If you care to see images of the island, visit my blog, rongergelyphotography.com/blog. Mahalo! (from our guest book)
