Great apartment and exceptional service

We booked at short notice, and unusually the owner was willing to be reasonable and do us a deal. He was helpful with all our questions and gave us lots of good advice about things like deals on hire cars, restaurants, places to go, etc. It actually felt like he cared for whether we had a good time.
The apartment itself is just fantastic - furnished just like a family home with English TV, 6 great beds and a roof terrace that looks out to the sea and the mountains. I couldn't say there was anything we wanted in the apartment that we couldn't find.
In terms of location, the golf course is just fantastic, and it can only get better as it beds in. And La Manga is only 25 minutes away. The beach was surprisingly close by. It wasn't crowded and there are some lovely chiringuitos down there for a drink and snack. The local town's full of character with supermarkets, etc, and there are some great restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Though we liked the clubhouse so much that we just ate in there every night. Right on the doorstep and plenty of variety!
To cap it all, we arrived late at night so it was especially nice to get to the apartment within 20 minutes of the plane actually hitting the ground (including collecting luggage!) - and then to be met by someone, given the key, shown around the apartment, and then shown the contents of a fridge full of stuff for the following morning. What a welcome.
I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. We will be going back twice this year, I'm sure.
