Photos and Description of the Montello vacation house rental
House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3 Baths (Sleeps 10-14)

Like new, well kept 2,400 sq ft, 3 bedroom home is located on the Fox River where you can swim, water ski, fish, have campfires and relax. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor along with the large kitchen and dining room. The upstairs is one large living room (30ft x 20ft) with a new big screen TV, VCR/DVD player and satellite tv with comfortable seating for at least 8 people. There's plenty of room for air mattresses and tables to do crafts and plenty of windows for natural light. We added a new rec room in the basement along with another full bathroom. The basement has a set of bunk beds and a pull-out sleeper sofa, brand new ping-pong table, tv and a huge chalkboard for the kids. The basement has a patio door for great natural light and spectacular view of the river.

It is common to see cranes and bald eagles here. If you like to hunt there is public hunting land nearby or you can go duck hunting on site. There are hiking trails and natural areas for bird watching throughout Marquette County. We are also on one of the many bike routes in the area.

The rental includes your own private area on the river and we will be adding a new, larger pier for fishing or to dock your boat. There is also a picnic table, chairs and firepit (with free firewood). A rowboat and 2 canoes are included in rental. We have an indoor crate and an outdoor, covered dog kennel for your pet. For the kids there is a play area with sandbox, swings, slide and treehouse, basketball hoop and other outdoor games to use. We also have a selection of inside games, puzzles, legos and movies to watch.

We are between Montello and the Princeton/Green Lake area where there are plenty of antique and speciality shops and the largest flea market in the state. Come enjoy a relaxing week or weekend in the country.

Scrapbook Retreat

Great place for scrapbooking with friends

Second visit here with scrapbooking friends was just as great as the first time we came here. This time more women wanted to come so there were ten of us. Kitchen is to die for. We may have eaten more than we scrapped. Cooked on charcol grill outside, took walks to take in fall colors, and watched DVDs on large screen TV in huge room on top floor which is where we set up to scrap. Owners are very accommodating and friendly. Their two dogs are wonderful as well! We're just wondering how soon we can arrange to come here again. When ten women (with families) make an effort to coordinate another visit, you can be sure it is a wonderful place!

Three couples stayed at this house in July, 2012. The property was immaculate and exactly as the description stated. The cabin was very good, Exactly as described. The place is very pleasant. Steve and Dana were very friendly. They helped us in getting the information about local activities. We were 8 people and we enjoyed a lot. The house has everything that a vacation rental needs. The view of the river from the back of the house was good. All in all we had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Thanks to Steve and Dana!
