Private yard, parking, front porch overlooking portected horse farm. Very cozy inside. Livingroom with woodburning fireplace and fold out queen sofa. SAT TV (free HBO, SHO,MAX) VHS upstairs and down. DVD downstairs only. Queen bed in upstairs bedroom AM/FM clock and docking station. many DVDS. Books Full kitchen with cookware. Laundry on premises. Lawn fruniture.

The cabin is situated on a horse farm. The cabin is over 200 years old but totally restored and updated. It has all the modern conveniences and comforts of a new home and all the rustic charm of a historic log cabin.

We do offer stabling packages for those seeking to bring their horses (availability may be limited please inquire early).

The area is great for exploring, shopping, dinning, museums, or driving through the countryside.

The cabin is the perfect get- away from what ever you need a break from in life. Your privacy is assured.

Romantic one bedroom restored log cabin. Situated on private drive surrounded by a horse farm. Views in all directions. Peace and quiet abound. Queen bedroom suite 2nd floor, fully furnished kitchen, bath/shower, laundry on premises. Livingroom has working wood fireplace and fold out sofa to sleep up to 4. Sitting front porch and adirondack lawn furniture in your own private back yard.

Halfway between Baltimore and Philadelphia. 30 minutes south of Lancaster. Minutes to resturants and shopping outlets. 5 golf courses within 10 miles. Miles of hiking, biking, and running, right out the front door. Tennis court one mile away. One mile from the Octorora resevoir containing record size catfish. Fly fishing in Octorora river system.

Dutch Wonderland amusement/water park is 20 mins away. Hollywood Casino in Perryville is 15 minutes as well as Sight and Sound Theatre (live shows 5 days a week) in Strasburg. Dozens of other Amish/Pennsylvania Dutch attractions. Hershey, PA is about an hour north.

World famous Longwood Gardens, Winterthur Museum, Brandywine Valley museums as well as the head of the Chesapeake Bay in Northeast, Md is all within a half hour drive from the cabin.

For the equestrian we are 15 minutes from Fairhill International 3 day event, the Fair Hill Training Center, and New Bolton Center Veterinary. We can create a foxhunting package for you, season permitting, Stabling can be available for your horse on premises (obviously extra fees apply).

The possible activities are unlimited but we must warn you... most guests who arrive with all the necessary things one would need to stay (just inquire what that may be), decide to do just that. It is private, quiet, complete, and no one is going to bother you here. At the same time we are here to assist or advise you in anything you might need during your stay.

We stayed at the cabin over new year's weekend and it made for the perfect getaway. It is centrally located, not too far from Lancaster PA and very cozy. The owners were very helpful and accommodating in every way, and they helped us get familiar with the neighboring Amish community as well as restaurants and other attractions. We will definitely come visit again!

This cabin has a very cozy feel! The pictures are true and might even look better in person. The owner is very hospitable and there for your needs. The dogs are very very friendly and newman is probably the cutest dog i've seen. If you're looking for a nice getaway from it all, this is a great choice.

We came to visit the Amish country and we found the kindest people on top of it. The cottage itself is charming, very cozy and intimate, yet decorated with a lot of taste and attention to details (fresh Amish bread on the table, a bar of soap, hand lotion...). The surrounding and views are gorgeous, it's unbelievably quiet. But most of all, Wendy and Travis are amazing people, who are passionate about what they do and whose good spirit is contagious. They are definitely peoples people. We left a little heart-weighted, promising we would come again comes Spring. If you are looking for a secluded little piece of paradise, this is it. If you are feeling a little blue and need some friendship and kindness, then it is perfect.

Perfect place to get away!

Can't say enough good things about this place! So cozy, private and romantic. My fiance and I arrived Christmas Eve around 3pm. It had just started to snow and when we arrived, three beautiful horses came to the edge of the fence to greet us. Not long after, three precious dogs came to say hello. Wendy and Travis make you feel so at home. Everything we needed to have a peaceful and relaxing stay was provided....right down to wood for the fireplace. I had asked Wendy if she had a grill so we could cook the venison we brought outdoors. When we arrived she had bought a new one, as the other one, she said, was starting to get old. Now that's service!
You will love this little farmhouse. Make sure you check out Longwood Gardens while you're in the area. It's only about a 15 minute drive from the cabin and the grounds are gorgeous any time of year!!!

Fantastic Cabin For a Night Away

My girlfriend and I needed to be swinging through the area on our way up to a wedding and this cabin proved perfect. Wendy was very helpful in helping us get setup and she and her husband even introduced us to a couple of the thoroughbreds they have in the barn.

I highly recommend it.
