We always wanted to build a log home, and when you see this house we hope you will appreciate the time and effort we spent planning, designing and furnishing it. Its a two hour drive from our home in Charlotte, which makes it very accessible for a weekend getaway. It's a wonderful retreat.
Exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking along hundreds of miles of trails, fly fishing, shoping in nearby Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. The area has a multitude of really good restaurants. Football games at ASU in the fall are not to be missed. Craft fairs, art shows, plays and concerts abound throughout the surrounding towns and countryside throughout the summer and fall. When cold weather arrives sitting in front of the fireplace reading a book, or for the adventurous skiing at three nearby slopes. The changing of the seasons, especially spring and fall are dramatic. This is truly a four season area, with unlimited adventures awaiting its visitors.
