THE VINEYARD LODGE is a spacious and luxurious architectural masterpiece. Each of the 4 King Suites offers its own large ensuite bathroom and own lounge area with LCD TV. 2 of the King Suites offer a fire place and each suite has its own private entrance. The Vineyard Lodge is rented as the entire lodge, we do not rent separate rooms sorry. If you needed a smaller property we do have the beautiful Vineyard Cottage and the 1 bedroom luxury 'Old Laundry Suite'. Both of these properties are very special and priced as smaller properties. Please ask us for individual rates.
The Vineyard Lodge lounge is furnished with provencal style, unbleached linen soft furnishings (2 lounge suites 2 armchairs and large sit on ottoman).
In the centre is a large coffee table made locally from old wood reclaimed from the Peninsula pier.
This large, light space makes a comfortable and convivial space for you and your guests to relax and enjoy.
It has a reverse cycle air conditioning unit, a large enclosed wood fire, high quality Geneva music system including iPod dock, and an impressive French farmhouse dining table that comfortably seats 8 in elegant rattan dining chairs.
The perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast whilst looking down the vineyard through plantation shutters.
The floor to ceiling wood wall is a feature of the room and compliments this traditional, quality mud brick construction. It emanates the faint smell of redgum. There is a natural aromatherapy everywhere in the quiet air of Tussie Mussie.
A fantastic separate media and movie room with a large Pioneer LCD TV and DVD, Bose surround sound system, 'block out' floor to ceiling silk curtains and several comfy 'gold class' recliners to complete your cinema experience. Enjoy a 'Big Night In' without going out!
The Vineyard Lodge has 4 stunning suites, all with their own lounging area, TVs and two even have their own wood burning fires for extra warmth in winter.
One of the suites The Hilligdon Suite has a separate lounge room, complete with 'sink in' comfy linen lounge suite and ottoman. It's perfect for curling up and watching the large screen LCD TV with DVD and working your way through the movie library.
There's even a bar fridge to keep the bubbles cold!
The unique items collected by the owners from antique sheds on the Mornington Peninsula form a stylish and intriguing environment.
Combined with the texture of the mud brick walls and wood fires there is a warmth and welcoming reassurance about Tussie Mussie that guarantees instant relaxation.
All the beds are dressed in luxury Sheridan 1000 thread count cotton sheets and soft towels.
Enjoy a beautiful double storm shower or bath using the organic Australian toiletries supplied - step onto the heated bathroom floor and relax to the music on your in room iPod dock.
Three of the suites have baths including The Hillingdon Suite that has a huge corner spa bath.
The large king beds and luxury mattresses offer you a wonderful night sleep.
All the suites have their own terraces and separate entrances making The Vineyard Lodge both convivial for a large group of friends and family, yet enabling each guest to enjoy the privacy of their own suite.
The stunning teatree archways covered in roses; the secret pathways flanked with ferns and agapanthus, and the little hidden bird boxes amongst the camellia bushes make Tussie Mussie truly an enchanted garden.
The Vineyard Lodge offers a fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances (Fisher & Paykel and Blanco) and baking/ cooking utensils that will delight the most committed cooks.
Take the Maggie Beer cookbook off the shelf and it may be the inspiration for your vineyard feast on The Long Table, or your picnic down at the dam.
There is a separate laundry for guests' use, with washer, dryer, ironing board and iron.
There is also a powder room off The Vineyard Lodge entrance hallway.
****Please note that three of the king beds in the Vineyard Lodge can be split in to 2 single beds, however, it requires for a handyman to change the bedhead thus a $200 fee applies for splitting each bed into 2 singles if desired.
VINEYARD LODGE TERRACE
The Vineyard Lodge Terrace overlooks the breathtaking landscape, offering a great place to socialise or simply relax in comfort. Fully furnished with two large 2-seater as well as a 3-seater cushioned lounges, multiple coffee tables and 2 ample shade umbrellas you will love spending time here.
Prepare lunch on the generous sized BBQ, enjoy a nice bottle of wine and some interesting cheeses you found at the local goat farm.
Dessert could be lucious strawberries you picked yourself at the nearby strawberry farm.
Now may be the time to sample the cider the owner has left in the fridge for you, or indulge in the delicious homemade muffins straight from the oven thoughtfully left for your enjoyment. It is impossible to stop after just one of these self indulgent delicacies!
OTHER ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS
Vineyard Cottage is a completely separate and romantic cottage, consisting of two bedrooms, one with king and the other with a queen bed.
It has one large shared bathroom, with both a Victorian style bath, and a large walk in double shower, as well as a separate cloakroom and WC.
This romantic accommodation for either one or two couples, is idyllic for those seeking a nostalgic and peaceful retreat, and has a lounge and dining table for up to 4 people, with views directly down the vineyard.
The history of the cottage was that it used to be the owners cottage, when the property was a working Rose and Herb Farm.
It still has the aura of a more simple and wholesome life of days gone by .
Nevertheless, it has every comfort and convenience of modern day living from a large LCD TV with built in DVD player, movie library, Bose iPod dock, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso Coffee machine, reverse cycle air-conditioning and modern gas barbecue.
The king bedroom has a view directly down the vineyard for you to wake up to in the morning. The queen bedroom has a garden view to soothe you to sleep

The Old Laundry is a spacious, private suite consisting of a bedroom, bathroom with shower, it's own private entrance and parking.
This luxury accommodation for two is perfect for those seeking comfort and seclusion in a shady more woodland setting on the property.
Many years ago this fully refurbished treasure was indeed the farm laundry. Now the only suggestion of a laundry are the vintage French laundry baskets, antique washboard and ironing board.
Your every comfort has been considered from the huge French style king bed, large LCD TV with built in DVD, movie library, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso Coffee machine, reverse cycle airconditioning and modern gas barbecue.
The suite has a large two person shower and heated floor. Pamper yourself with the organic Australian toiletries provided for you and wrap yourself in Sheridan soft pile white towels.

THE LONG TABLE
The Long Table which overlooks the vineyard, colorful rose garden and manicured grass, provides an amazing place to enjoy the company of your guests at Tussie Mussie.
It has a distant view of soft hills and the more immediate view of the healthy young green vines which excite the need to share a meal with friends.
Three huge cast iron candelabras hang above the table on a rustic iron support that frames this wonderful scene. Flickering candles can be supplied (not real ones for obvious reasons) to create a romantic glow for your idyllic dinner or early evening aperitif.
A midsummer feast, or a mediterranean long lunch with family and friends - The Long Table will provide an unforgettable backdrop for your occasion.

THE PIZZA OVEN
The unique pizza oven provides yet another memorable place to sit with friends and chat the night away. Made out of brick and clay, this good sized pizza outdoor oven also features a large Jumbuck BBQ allowing you to cook up a feast.
Fill the large shiny champagne bucket in the eating area with ice to keep the bubbly cool, whilst your food remains warm on the purpose build metal plate in the centre of the sturdy wooden table. Everything has been thought of here, leaving you to simply enjoy the moment.
The pizza oven dining area has lighting allowing its use day or night.
THE VINEYARD KITCHEN (small additional fee for use of this building - most properties have own kitchen facilities and the vineyard kitchen is more for group events)
The vineyard kitchen is an interesting open plan premises separate to the main lodge and to the other vineyard properties. It can be used, for a small fee, to entertain a group of guests.
We can arrange a private chef to cook for you, or you may like to impress your group with your own cooking flair.
As you walk in on the right is the large kitchen lined with bar stools.
There are all kinds of quality cooking utensils, a large fridge freezer, plenty of shelf space, big sink, a quality coffee machine and everything you need to prepare an outstanding meal. On the left as you walk in, almost looks like the seating area of a boat which makes an interesting area to socialise whilst you watch the chef.

From Melbourne CBD
Follow the coastline from Melbourne via Frankston to access Port Phillip bayside towns (Mt Eliza, Mornington, Rosebud, Rye, Sorrento, Portsea).
To access villages alongside Westernport Bay (Tyabb, Hastings, Flinders), take the M1 linked with the Western Port Highway.
For a faster journey (60 minutes) take the M1 and join the Eastlink tollway, paying special attention to the eclectic mix of roadside artwork, including the giant bird of Emily Floyd's Public art strategy and Callum Morton's high-rise hotel. Take the Mornington Peninsula Freeway and then Moorooduc Freeway to quickly reach the Mornington Peninsula.
By rail and bus
Jump on a metropolitan train service (running every 15-20 minutes) from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Frankston, then connect through Hastings to Stony Point on Westernport Bay.

Choose the scenic option and spot dolphins as you make the stunning ferry crossing from Queenscliff on the Great Ocean Road to Sorrento. The Sorrento Car And Passenger Ferry departs daily from Sorrento Pier and Queenscliff Harbour, every hour on the hour from 7am until 6pm, all year round. Foot passengers, bicycles, cars, towed caravans and trailers, motor homes, motorcycles and truck are all welcome.
You can also take the ferry between the Mornington Peninsula and French Island and Phillip Island.
