Comfortable and relaxing

After a stay in Washington, this farmhouse was like going back in time in the best possible way. Surrounded by peaceful, beautiful countryside, you will see Amish people driving their buggies from the front porch.
The house was beautifully and authentically decorated, yet contained all the comforts we needed.
It is very convenient for the village of Strasburg, lovely home cooking at the nearby Hershey Farm and the Hans Herr house. The highlight is of course the sense of timelessness you get from the Amish community.

Wonderfully peaceful!

The farmhouse was absolutely charming. We are a family of six and fit in the home perfectly. The location is close to so many things....Strasburg Railroad, Sight and Sound, Amish House and Farm. We enjoyed the surrounding quiet and hearing the crickets in the evening. Our children were sad to leave and we hope to return.

This is a wonderful location to stay at. It is perfect for a family of five or six. The property is surrounded by lush Amish farmland; we woke up many days to see carriages going past the property. The farmhouse itself is decorated with beautiful antiques side by side with modern conveniences. We plan on coming back again for a longer stay, and you'll probably want to do the same!

Blissful

There is something truly mystical about Lancaster County. There is a peacefulness and simplicity that is calming to the soul. And this wonderful house is the perfect place to take it all in. A stone's throw from a wonderful bakery with amazing cinnamon bread, railroad museums and a magical model train display, and quaint stores with must-have's, the Homestead is ideal. We just returned from a week there -- and the fall leaves were kind to hang around till we could enjoy them.

The farmhouse has been restored beautifully, and it was the perfect way to "fit in" to the rolling hills dotted with dairy farms. It is truly a place of retreat -- and I can't imagine a better place to experience the Amish country. Now home, I miss the clop, clop, clop of the buggies going by.

Can't recommend it highly enough. Cathy

Such a Wonderful Relaxing Stay at a Great Farmhouse

We just returned from a wonderful week long stay at the Farmhouse. The family has done a wonderful job of preserving and fixing up this home. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

We enjoyed Dutch Wonderland, Hershey Park, Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market, Kitchen Kettle Village, local Amish Stands etc...

We really enjoyed eating at Dienners. Great food - great prices! We ate at the CiCi's Buffet, which is a great value for families.

We would love to return to this area in the future! Beautiful area!
