Amazing retreat...

Truly enjoyed our stay. Great property, plenty of COMFORTABLE sleeping, 2 fridges - great - so no extra trips to the grocery store!! My only disappointment was no cleaning rags, but that was really no biggie. Plently of cookware, dishes, towels for bathing - actually I think we ended up donating some...LOL Gorgeous view. Definately a family property, way too much house for just a couple.

Family Weekend Getaway

My family and some of my children's friends stayed for the weekend. It was a last weekend vacation before my son graduates from high school. Everyone loved it! We had everything we needed and more. In addition to the expected necessities, we found board games in the closet to play with the kids (we had brought some of our own too). Such a pretty house and what a view! I could wake up to the view everyday. And, it was so nice to be able to walk right down to the beach. I wish we could have stayed longer. We could have brought many more people and been very comfortable with all the bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything was clean and well-maintained and we had no complaints whatsoever.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. I know God provided the weather but the owner provided everything else. The kitchen was complete with pots, pans and dishes right down to the crock pot we used. It was a perfect way to celebrate my birthday and have friends visit us. Now my husband wants to celebrate his birthday the same way. We will be back for another week in the future.

Lighthouse Experience

This is the second time we have rented thids house. It is perefctly located so that the grandchildren can get to the beach easily. There have been some improvements on the house since our last visit, such a ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. We stay in the master bedroom and fall asleep listening to the chatter and laughter of the adult children and the pounding surf. We wake up to the patter of small feet and giggles from our ganddaughters and the pounding surf. Need a place to relax and wind down? The Lighthouse is the place to be!

Hi Tonya,

Apologies for the late response.

Yes we had a great time. The house was lovely and in a perfect location. The beds were clean, no problem with the linens.
I think the only think that probably needs improving is the kitchen sink, it was a bit old and drained slowly, but we did not make it an issue. The incident that occurred on the beach was unfortunate, but we know that is outside the control of the owners.
I will definitely stay again.

Thank you so much for this feedback. We do, indeed, have the kitchen sink scheduled for replacement as soon as we have a break in the rentals -- probably early this fall.

It was most unfortunate that such an event occurred during your stay. The result of that weekend is that the Village of Surfside has hired a firm to check the internet social networking sites to watch for any such thing in the future. They have already caught one other and stopped it before it began. As you could see, without the flash mob situation, Surfside is a pretty slow-paced, relaxing place and we all want to keep it that way.

I will look forward to having you stay again!
