The apartment is located in a modern development with many amenities for residents only. These include a hotel style lobby entrance with concierge+CCTV for security, swimming pool with sauna, gym, table tennis table, great fun for all the family, communal garden and roof terrace; they are complimentary to the rent price.

Perfect apartment!

We (family with kids aged 5 and 7) just atayed for 3 nights in this perfect apartment. It was very comfortable and fully equipped and located perfectly (very near a Circle Line underground station, near a Central Line Station and buses). The kids loved the leisure options after a day full of sight seeing.

The owner Sue send very useful information about the apartment, the neighbourhood (supermarkets, restaurants) and transport to us on our first enquiry. She responded quickly to questions and welcomed us on our day of arrival to hand over the keys. She was very kind and helpful.

We can certainly recommend this apartment!

Great apartment in central location.

Our family of two adults and boys aged 15 and 9 enjoyed a great holiday in London, with the Herbal Hill Gardens flat as our base. Tracey met us on arrival and was a great source of local information. We used the swimming pool and table tennis table every day and we were able to walk or catch a bus to Central London or to Upper St, Islington. Many great places to eat nearby, including at Exmouth Market. We recommend this flat as an ideal base for exploring London.

beautiful stay at herbal hill

we stayed at herbal hill apartments for our last 5 days of a 3 weeks trip to the uk. as soon as we walked in we wished we could have rented this place for a whole day! It was beautiful, perfect for a family of 4, in a fantastic neighborhood, and the owner and the person responsible for cleaning and caretaking were so easy to remain in contact with and very communicative. If we return to London, we will stay in this place again but absolutely sure.

Siamo stati accolti da una gentile signora che ci ha illustrato il meraviglioso appartamento ben curato e fornito di tutti i confort; al nostro arrivo vi era persino il latte, acqua e vino bianco in frigo.-

L'appartamento si trova a 5 minuti a piedi da fermata della Tube e treno dove si può comodamente prendere un treno che in un ora ti porta all'aeroporto .-

Almost Home

This was not our first choice as it was essentially more than we had budgeted. But we ended up here anyway and are, for the most part, pleased. David & Sue were quite responsive and always willing to assist us with our plans. We do wish the final payment could have arrived before we left our home rather than on the road- I don’t trust other computers, only my own. The flat is extremely convenient and easily accessible by public transport or taxi. The building’s amenities were lovely, but we never got to try any of them- after all it IS London! The flat was as the pictures show. I was worried about the kitchen from those photos (new one- ones- added since!), but it turned out to be quite decent.

We had three problems, however. First, the balcony window that you see opens to a MAJOR road. And Clerkenwell Rd. has a 24-hour bus. Besides, when you do open the window, you literally look at passengers on the top deck of the bus which is a bit disconcerting for both parties. So the serious bus noise issue has to be taken into consideration. Second, there was a “heat wave” when we were there. It wasn’t the heat that bothered us, it was the lack of circulation. The ceiling fan is great for the living room, where one person slept on the sofa- the convertible chair wasn’t for us. But it doesn’t reach into the other section of the open floor plan. We can handle heat (and 28 is not hot to us), but we cannot handle still air. We asked for a fan, but it was rejected. We had a friend in London who loaned us one. Sleeping in that mezzanine (only recommended for the under 30s- we’re not and it was quite rough) was almost unbearable with no circulation. The person who slept under the mezzanine also complained about the lack of circulation. Third, the building's management had a problem with trash collection. We took the trash to the disposal area as asked, but it was so full we could barely open the door. If we had the money, we would stay there again IF there were a fan for circulation. (They do provide a heater for the cold.)

The owners were not any problem and everything went smoothly. Their housekeeper (Tracey- xx) was sweet and adorable and a most valuable source of information on all things London. (Note= Farringdon tube stop has a lift- this was a boon for us and needs to be a consideration for those who need this accessibility.)

Really good choice

We were very pleasantly surprised at the lovely apartment with great facilities , would highly recommend to families with 2 kids or business travellers. There are shops very near by to purchase food and drinks and Farrington Station is a 3 minute walk from the apartment. I would happily stay again next time I'm in London.

The building is located in the Clerkenwell Road between the West End and the City. It is ideally placed for sight seeing, shopping, or to visit London's many cultural attractions. The nearest stations are Chancery Lane on the Central Line and Farringdon (Circle, Hammersmith & City lines, with direct trains to Gatwick and Luton airports). Euston, Kings Cross and the Euro Star terminal at St Pancras are all within easy reach. Within 10-20 minutes walk you can be strolling along the Thames, visit Tate Modern, walk along the Strand, hunt for bargains in Covent Garden or visit the world famous opera. Russel Square and the British Museum are a short walk away as are the Angel, Islington, the Barbican, the Museum of London and St Pauls Cathedral. There are many restaurants, bars and pubs in the vicinity plus a wide range of grocery shops and convenience stores plus a daily street market for all your needs.
