Hilton Head Condo on Port Royal Sound

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was clean and well equipped. Everything about the place was as advertized. The owner, (Kevin), Emailed me twice to check that we were happy with the accomodations. The only draw-back for us was that although the condo-development is "beachfront" and the views are very nice, it's actually on the Sound so the beach is limited and water is more like marsh. So if you're looking for the typical Hilton Head Beach where you can walk and ride bikes on the sand for miles, be prepared to spend twice as much for the same type condo. However if you are familiar with HHI, you soon realize that the entire island has paved bike paths and you can enter main beach areas in about 15 minutes by biking South.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the review Tom.
Just to clarify, the beach is located on the "heel" of HHI between Fish Haul Creek Park and Mitchellville Road City Beach. The Town of Hilton Head "re-nourished" this entire stretch of beach a couple years ago which included planting some grasses (mostly to the south of the property - by Fish Haul Creek Park) to help retain the sand. The beach offers sunbathing, clamming, shelling, birding, beautiful views of Parris and Saint Helena Island, and of course peaceful walks at any time of day.
