Nestled in a private and gated, 19 wooded acres, this Rogue River retreat sits on 600 feet of river frontage. The open floor plan, large windows and vaulted ceilings make a bright and airy living space. The porch runs the length of the house with a spectacular view of the Rogue River. The living room boasts hardwood floors, a beautiful rock fireplace and ample seating, complete with a 50' wide-screen high-definition television, DVD player and satellite TV.

The spacious kitchen features a gas stove, expansive counter space, and 2 counter bars. The huge dining room table can accommodate up to 12 people.

The spacious master bedroom features a private sitting area and a master bath with his and her sinks, an enclosed shower and a tub. The master has a king-size bed. The master looks out on the river.

The two other bedrooms have queen-size beds, with forest views. There is also a foyer with a twin-size sofa-bed, and a queen-sized air mattress. Free wireless high-speed internet is available throughout the property.

Enjoy year round sports and activities that include: whitewater rafting, fishing, and excellent wildlife watching, all along the Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway. Waterfalls and great hiking trails are a short drive up the highway. Crater Lake National Park is only an hour drive away.

This retreat is the perfect place to enjoy the natural splendor and active lifestyle along the Rogue River.

The house has been in the family for years. We have been visiting several times a year since.

What makes this house unique

This is our place to get away from it all but its not so remote that there is nothing to do. We can be at great mexican food on the river in a few minutes.

We had never been to Shady Cove and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this wonderful home. The house is spacious and has everything you could possibly want to spend a wonderful vacation. It is located in a very private area and the sound and view of the Rogue River were very soothing. We spent two weeks there and did not want to leave. We saw many deer and other critters during our stay. Livie, our yellow lab, loved it! We had dinner twice at Miguel's in town and had pizza at Pizza at the Cove. Both were excellent. It's a great location if you want to take advantage of the local attractions such as Crater Lake, Hellgate Excursions and the Oregon Caves. The owner was very nice and easy to work with, and the housekeeper even came to the house during the middle of our stay to check on us. Make sure you bring dog biscuits because Lady makes her daily visits to the house.

We had a great family trip to Shady Cove and environs and loved staying in this house. It's spacious, and we really appreciated comfy beds and linens, good coffee, a really well-equipped kitchen, and falling asleep to the sound of the river. It's a little daunting to find the first time, but once there it's easy to get back and forth to town. The location was great for fishing, rafting, a day trip to Crater Lake, and the going on to Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival. The Fishing Hole folks were great for our river adventures. And, the owners were easy to work with, as well.
