The split floorplan of this rustic, yet modern, interior offers privacy for couples wishing to share accommodations yet maintain their own space, provided by the arrangement of each of the two queen bed suites being situated on opposing sides of the Living Room/Kitchen/Dining area. This floor plan is also wonderful for families, giving mom and dad a place to enjoy some quiet time alone. The cabin sleeps 4 comfortably with room for 2 more if you count the sleeper sofa in the living room. Ladies will also enjoy the convenience of magnifying mirrors and hair dryers in each bathroom.

Great weekend!

We arrived around 3:30 and found everything perfect! The cabin was spotless, access was simple. We enjoyed the great view from the front porch, the fireplace at night, we grilled out and had everything we needed. The cabin is very well equiped, a no worries get away!!!!!

Most relaxing vacation ever!!!

This cabin is very private and the views are amazing. We had a pleasant surprise on our first morning when we awoke to snow covered mountains. So unbelievably beautiful and my dog absolutely loved it seeing she has never seen snow before. Marsha was so extremely helpful with directions, area restaurants and local attractions. We had a little problem with getting the fireplace lit, but the cabin manager came right up and was so friendly. Stay here, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Marsha and Suzie.

Cozy hideaway!

A friend is thru-hiking the AT and we needed a dog-friendly place to stay that was near the trail and was nice. Wow..we couldn't have found a better place! Barefoot Retreat is only 3 miles from the Hwy 76/AT crossing and it's tucked away in the mountains with a beautiful view. The cabin is so cozy and had absolutely everything we needed or wanted. Hot Tub, grill, fireplace, well stocked kitchen...and it was beautiful and well maintained.

Our plans had to change a time or two based on my friend's ability to hike fast or slow and the owner's were incredibly understanding and accommodating.

Two thumbs up on this mountain hideaway: Barefoot Retreat.

Romantic spot

A good cabin for a cozy, romantic weekend away. My wife and I stayed over the weekend and found the cabin to be lovely and fairly secluded. The hot tub is pretty secluded from others, though you do have to walk to it next to the porch. The cabin was very well stocked with everything, though I think there should have been more toilet paper. Lots of games and books to read and satellite TV. The wireless internet worked but was extremely slow - like dial up speed. The furnishings were beautiful, and it was very clean. Owner was very accomidating and very prompt with all communications Certainly would go back.

Lovely escape in the woods

Beautiful and comfortable home! It was a delight to stay there. Very helpful owner with lots of directions and instructions presented before hand and kept at the house. Beautiful view and quiet neighbors. The dogs adored it! Wifi was a tad slow compared to city speeds, but wifi at all in the woods is a blessing - and who needs to be on their computer when they could be in the hot tub!
