THE SPACE

Sleek lines, swank neighborhood, privacy and upscale finishes define this magnificent 3,000 sq. ft. mid century home in the Los Feliz Hills with views stretching 180 degrees. Multiple indoor-outdoor living areas and over sized rooms with gleaming hardwood floors and walls of windows form the backdrop for a superb collection of retro and modern furnishings and art. The house is perfect for entertaining and yet private and tranquil when you want it to be with multiple private sitting areas.

A large inviting solar heated pool and BBQ patio area guarantees outdoor fun. Located on a street to street lot w/ a 2 car garage entry, gourmet kitchen, wet bar, formal living room, family room with a 60” flat screen HDTV, a wood burning stone fireplace and sun room with dining. A land line is provided offering free nationwide phone service. Also, 7mb wifi assures quick internet service.

The kitchen has new top-end stainless steel appliances and high end cookware plus an open floor plan and cozy built-in booth with seating for 6. An additional formal dining area is in the Sunroom which leads out to the pool area.

Along with a newly remodeled Master Bath, the 4 large bedrooms have ample closets, five new beds and top end linens accommodating 6-8 people comfortably.

The Master Bedroom features a King size bed w/ a sit down vanity + mirror and ample closet space. A sliding glass door offers access to a private patio and sitting area with a small pond.

The second bedroom features 2 Extra-Long Twin Beds, ample closet space and a couch with incredible views of the Los Feliz hills.

The third bedroom features a Queen bed with sitting area, a writing desk, ample closet space as well as a view of the hills.

The fourth bedroom features a Queen bed with sitting area and ample closet space. A sliding glass door provides access to a private patio overlooking the pool. NOTE: This bedroom can be used as a 'private nanny suite' since it has a private en suite bath + kitchenette and has doors that close it off from the rest of the house. When not used as a 'nanny suite', the kitchenette located next to main kitchen doubles as a butler pantry with a compact refrigerator, sink & stove and stack laundry. A second laundry area is located in a bedroom closet.

There are 2-1/2 bathrooms in the house. The master bath, newly remodeled features a 2 sink vanity, a tub, a separate shower stall and a toilet with a heated seat and water cleansing feature. The second bathroom, newly remodeled features a toilet, sink and large glass tiled walk-in shower. This bathroom can also be part of the self contained 'nanny suite'. The third bathroom (aka the powder room in the foyer) features a toilet and sink.

GUEST ACCESS

Since the house is situated on a street to street lot, guests have access up the front steps as well as the back, where a 2 car garage is located. The yard is secure with all gates locked from inside. Guests are free to enjoy all the outdoor living spaces.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

This area north of Los Feliz Boulevard is commonly referred to as the Los Feliz Hills consisting of multimillion-dollar homes with many of its inhabitants being involved in creative pursuits. Our house is less than a 5 minute drive to a golf course, tennis courts, horse back riding rentals, the Greek Theater, Griffith Park Observatory, the Los Angeles Zoo and the Gene Autry Museum. A 10 minute drive will take you into Hollywood or fantastic shopping at the Americana and Glendale Galleria Malls. We're also a short drive to Dodger's Stadium, LA Live, the Staples Center and Universal Studios. Depending on traffic, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Disneyland and 6 Flags Magic Mountain are a little more than 30 minutes away.

GETTING AROUND

Easy access to the I-5 (Golden State freeway) at Los Feliz Blvd & Riverside Drive, and other interchanges including the 101 (Hollywood freeway) are nearby, as well as being convenient to Hollywood and Downtown via the surface streets including Sunset Blvd., Hollywood Blvd., Beverly Blvd, Temple or Vermont, all within a few minutes from this location.

Los Angeles is a car-centric city but there is much mass transit available as well. A convenient bus stop is less than a block away and several metro (subway) lines are located within the Hollywood area.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

This home is also walking distance to an entrance to Griffith Park with miles of hiking and cycling trails offering mountain and city views.

The walking streets of Hillhurst and Vermont, and in between, lie just a few minute easy walk from the house, with any services you may need including trendy top rated restaurants, good grocery and fish/meat markets, post office, health food store, movie theater, live theatre shows, clubs and bars, used clothing and LA designer shops and much more.

Magnifique Villa, Dans un Excellent Quartier,

Avant tous nous vous conseillons vivement cette villa spacieuse dans un excellent quartier permettant de passer des vacances paisible à Los Angeles.

john qui nous a loué la villa est très sympatique et surtout rapide et efficace si on a des problèmes.

la villa est très agréable, nous sommes une famille de 5 personnes mon épouse et moi et 3 enfant 16,14,11 ans, les enfants ont été ravis chaque enfant avait sa chambre spacieuse, master bed room magnifique, équipement de cuisine recents et tout y est. 3 salon bien décoré et surtout de manière chaleureux et très propre, la piscine toujours chaude, nous avons beaucoup voyagé cette villa est une des meilleurs villa equivalent d'une villa que nous avons loué en France à Cap Nègre, seule difference cette villa est en ville , dans le quartier hollywood (hollywood BLVD à 5 min) les commerces sont proche ainsi que les restaurant la poste et les banques, Universal studio à 10mn,centre commercial Glendale avec plusieurs centaines de magasins et une très grand Target 10 MN. une vue magnifiques à partir de villa, les voisin super.

nous avons passé d'excellent vacances et espérons retourner dans cette villa pour d'autre vacances.

la description de villa est vraiment bien fait mais quand on découvre la villa, on constate que la réalité est bien meilleur que la description internet.

nous tenons remercier John qui nous a loué pour son efficacité et sa gentillesse.

nous avons eu un problème de courrier ou il a appelé la poste lui meme pour régler le problème alors qu'il n'était pas obligé.

Nous recommandons encore vivement cette villa à ne pas Manquer.

Wonderful house, wonderful location

Lovely house in a great area. It is close to everything but very private. Mid-century style with fabulous little touches. John (owner) was very professional and friendly. The house was very clean and well equipped. It worked well for our family- two adult couples and two young teenagers. We would certainly recommend the house to friends.

Even better than described!!

We can’t recommend this property highly enough. Great location, close to Universal and Hollywood, well equipped and superbly laid out, plenty of room which was good as we were joined on a family holiday by my parents and our son, daughter –in –law, daughter and partner. The property was suitable for all the generations, with a number of different sitting rooms and good size double bedrooms it meant we could all enjoy our own space. There is a beautiful quiet room in the front with views of other beautiful homes among the hills, a large living area with grand TV plus a large sun lounge.

The “Grand-Parents occupied the ' Nanny quarter ' which they found perfect, with their own en-suite and kitchenette with a patio area outside the bedroom. We had the Master bedroom again with its own patio.

It was great having a pool for us all, and lots of sitting areas to enjoy the sun and barbecues as a family. We would certainly highly recommend this for family holidays or for friends to share.

There is plenty of information provided on local amenities and John the owner was friendly, helpful and responsive from our initial contact. This will definitely be our first choice for future holidays to the area.

Wonderful!

What a nice place for a family vacation! This spacious and comfortable home allowed us to hang out together but also had many place where one could be alone. The pool and patio were a treat after a day running around. The location was excellent. Los Feliz Village is great fun and walkable. The front bedrooms offer glorious views of the houses in the hills. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, and very nice bed linens. Loved this house.

Beautiful Mid Century in Los Feliz

We have stayed at this property a couple of time and every time we have been more than pleased. The house is clean and the amenities are awesome. The last time we stayed was with a small group of people and there was more than enough room. We never found ourselves on top of each other, in fact we were able to sprawl out and really get comfortable. Some of us in the sweet living room, some in the breakfast nook and some grilling out down by the pool.

The location is great and nice to be able to leave the car for a bit and walk around. MessHall just down Los Feliz was a nice place to walk to and grab a drink after our day was done.

This home is warm and inviting and makes our trips even better. We would definitely recommend this property to all of our friends and plan on staying her again in the near future.

Wonderful Los Feliz Property!

My husband and I have to travel to Los Angeles quite frequently for our careers and we usually stay in hotel suites. This time we decided to try something different and look for a property to rent via owner.

This was our first trip to Los Angeles with the whole family and nanny and what a great home to stay at with 5 people! Master bedroom for my husband and I, 2 year old in one bedroom, 4 year old in the other bedroom which are both close to the master, and the nanny in the nanny suite which gives everyone separation and space. Extremely clean home and decked out in a 1970's vibe which added some spark and excitement to our stay. The patios were wonderful to hang out in during the day and we loved to eat in the booth in the kitchen!

The neighborhood was very quiet and pleasant and the neighbors who we interacted with were extremely nice. Staying in Los Feliz was awesome because we were so close to lots of amazing restaurants and coffee shops- had to drive, a bit too far for walking. Every morning we would go to Intelligensia coffee shop in Silverlake which was a 5 minute drive or Alcove which is a lovely outdoor seating restaurant right around the corner in Los Feliz. Cafe Figero and Farfalla for dinner were a must- both in Los Feliz. La Poubelle Bistro on Franklin Ave was also amazing.

I can't emphasize enough how awesome this place is if you are bringing your nanny. Such a great set-up, the location is amazing, the home is super clean and the house directions that are left from the owner are very descriptive and easy to understand. The owner also responded to my emails very quickly which makes everything very easy and flows nicely. I'd recommend this property to anyone who's looking into the Los Angeles/Los Feliz area!

Explore the desert while you're here. A 2 hour drive down the Santa Monica Freeway (10 east ) will take you to Joshua Tree. Palm Springs is 1 hour, 45 minutes away.

Notes:
Pool is solar heated so it is warm enough to swim from around May to September, depending on the weather (if it's cloudy or cold nights it loses heat overnight). We just installed more solar panels to give it more heating power. Smoking is not allowed in the house, smoking is only allowed outside. There is ultra high speed broadband wireless internet - 7 megabytes per second. Ideal for film and TV industry professionals and their families, with great central location between West Hollywood and Burbank/Universal City, easy freeway access, minutes to Downtown LA or Hollywood with no freeways. Plenty of spaces to spread out with your laptops and work from home. Hip walking streets of Hillhurst and Vermont are just a block or two away, filled with restaurants, sidewalk cafes, bars, supermarkets and local designer shops. Two laundry areas, with stack washer dryers - one in suite which can be used for nanny/maid's quarters, the other in Bedroom 2 closet.
