Overview

New Hope House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4)

Our architecturally unique hideaway is located in bucolic Bucks County, Pennsylvania a little more than one mile from downtown New Hope. The “treehouse” is nestled at the peak of Solebury Mountain on a one acre wooded lot. This Topsider brand hexagon home has 360 degrees of windows so nature can be enjoyed from every room. You could stay a weekend, a week or a month and still not experience everything Bucks County has to offer. Namely, the almost unlimited number of boutique and antique shops and award winning restaurants of New Hope, Lambertville (2.0 miles), Newtown (11 miles), Lahaska (4 miles) and Doylestown (10 miles). Or venture north and south along the Delaware River and experience the charming towns on both the Pennsylvania side (Washington Crossing, Yardley, Carversville, Upper Black Eddy) or the New Jersey side (Lambertville, Frenchtown, Rosemont, and Stockton).

Bucks County is home to acres of preserved farm land and boasts 9 wineries and offers year round activities. It is conveniently located 30 miles from Philadelphia and 70 miles from NYC with train service from nearby Yardley, Princeton or Trenton train stations. Come watch the leaves change, pick apples (Solebury Orchards) tackle the Amazing Maize Maze (Howell Farm - Titusville), cheer on the High Heel Drag Queen Halloween Night Race (New Hope), take a Ghost Tour (New Hope) or view the Scarecrow Exhibit (Peddler’s Village – Lahaska) in the autumn. In winter the New Hope/Lambertville Winter Fest held in January brings out ice sculpters, live bands and cold weather activities. Or get in the holiday mood by viewing the Grand Illumination at Peddler’s Village (Lahaska) and checking out the Gingerbread House competition. Or jump on the New Hope/Ivyland Railroad for a ride with Santa and then head out to the Byer’s Choice Factory (Chalfont). Don't miss the re-enactment of Washington Crossing the Delaware on Christmas Day. No better time than spring to flea market (Golden Nugget – Lambertville, Rice’s Market – New Hope) or welcome the shad at the annual Shad Fest (Lambertville) which brings over 10,000 visitors to the area. Ahh, summer in Bucks! Countless farm markets for picking or enjoying the fruit of the land. Canoe the Delaware River, bike the canal path, watch fireworks from the New Hope/Lambertville Bridge, dine al fresco (too many to mention!) hike through Ringing Rock State Park (Upper Black Eddiy – don’t forget your hammer the rocks really do ring) or take the kids to Sesame Place. The options are limitless!

Exhausted after your daily outing? Head back to our cozy treehouse and relax by the firepit . The “treehouse” is newly decorated with sleek, modern décor. It can comfortably accommodate 2 – 4 people. Square footage is 900 sf interior space and 200 sf outside decking. It may, however, not be suitable for a young child or physically challenged adult due to an open, spiral staircase. The home can be accessed from the second floor to avoid use of the staircase if necessary. Please call the owners with any questions.

Circumstances do not permit us to live in the home yet (i.e. a family) but we know in the future it will be our “happy place”. Come enjoy our Tree House for a long weekend, a month or longer.

About Owner/Manager

We recently purchased this property because of its tree top location and its unique architectural style. At some time in the future when we are empty nesters we expect to live in our 'tree house' part of the year. Until then, we are sharing its beauty with you.

Why Owner/Manager chose New Hope

We live in Bucks County and love the location with its proximity to the Delaware River, New Hope and Lambertville. It is a wonderful place to live or vacation.

Beautiful Vanentines Day Weekend

  • 5 of 5

I surprised my wife on Valentines weekend not telling her where we were going. We both ended up being excited about the Treehouse. All the windows & views were amazing, It snowed and the mountainside was beyond beautiful. The carport was nice, the drive to the house had lighting on a timer & the door is right there on lower level to enter the house. We always took our shoes off there & then went up a spiral staircase to the beautiful next level. The house was very clean, had everything needed & so comfortable. We had dinner in Lambertville one night & the brunch train in New Hope the next afternoon. Both of which were only minutes away. The heater worked great, it was very cold outside. Were in the process of planning a summertime trip. The house is on the very end of the mountain road & we were all by ourselves. Lisa was fantastic to work with & we texted back & forth with comments or concerns either of us had. She said we could even stay till 3pm the day we were leaving because no one was coming in that evening, thank you Lisa. We received our deposit back within days as well. This property is a hidden gem.

Wow! The Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were given a weekend away at the tree house as a Christmas/Birthday gift from our daughters. We were thrilled when we arrived to find the house even better than we expected. The owners have all sorts of great information available. They even had a welcome treat for us. (Thank you!) The setting was unbelievable and the house was beautiful and very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed shopping and dining, but, our favorite part was spending time in the house - we watched deer from the living room. The sunrise was amazing. When we were preparing to leave on Sunday an ice storm began and very quickly the roads were not safe for travel. The owners contacted us immediately telling us to stay as long as we needed until it was safe to drive. They were really kind and we sure did appreciate their gracious offer. I would highly recommend this house for adventure seekers, nature lovers, shoppers, folks who love to try new dining experiences, a romantic getaway or a girls weekend. Due to the spiral staircase it would not be ideal for small children. It was the perfect stress relief after a hectic holiday season. if you are considering a visit - all I can say is - DO IT!! You will NOT be disappointed.

The Complete Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My wife, daughter and I were looking for 'an English major-type' retreat for Thanksgiving this year--a warm, quiet place in nature for reading, music, hot chocolate and pj's--some restful respite from a busy year. Nestled in the woods with a dramatic forested view, the 'Tree House' met all our requirements and far exceeded our expectations. Amenities, comfort, security--together with responsive owners--all added up to a no-stress, nothing-but-pleasant experience that I would recommend without reserve. Within easy reach are terrific restaurants (eg Deanna's in Lambertville) and the quaint sights and quirky stores of New Hope. With this combination of treescape and townscape, you really can't go wrong.

Loved this house!!

  • 5 of 5

I live only 20 minutes away, but have always loved checking out this house on VRBO. Went with my husband for my 50th birthday last week. Had dinner at Marsha Browns and really enjoy New Hope. My girlfriends came for Saturday night and we had a blast!! The owners are very nice and give you alot of information about the area and restaurants. Received damage deposit back in 2 days!! We are now planning to return in the Spring when we can enjoy all the beautiful trees and landscaping!!

PERFECT ROMANTIC RELAXING WEEKEND GETAWAY!

  • 5 of 5

I spent a weekend at the "tree house" last weekend with my boyfriend. The house is perfect for a weekend getaway. It is impeccably kept, with all basic necessities. We actually wish we could have stayed longer. It was very cozy & quiet, very romantic and peaceful. The location is perfect because it is so close to downtown New Hope, restaurants, wineries, Peddlers Village, etc. The view from all of the windows in the house is breathtaking. The fire pit is so unique & perfect to drink a glass of wine by & toast smores in. As soon as we got there I thought "I CANT WAIT TO COME BACK!" I can't wait to book my next trip back here! What an experience :)
