House, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 1-8)

Brigadoon was/is our family home, and was featured on the Heritage Foundation Tour of Homes in 2012 in which it was also awarded for preservation of a pre-1900 structure.

Indeed, it has been available for guests to enjoy only since 2011. Although we live nearby the house retains almost all of the personal furnishings we have collected over the years. In other words, it is not a staged hospitality experience. It's name is a reflection of our Scottish ancestry and epitomizes the idyllic sense of belonging that the Leiper's Fork hamlet evokes.

Brigadoon is located in the village of Leiper's Fork; in other words, a two minute walk will leave you with three restaurant choices and several unique shops in which to browse. You cannot pay to sleep any closer to the heart of the village. The village folk are amazing, and are the reason my wife and I reside here. Moreover, you are only 8 miles from one of the best main streets in the South, Franklin and 29 miles from downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Brigadoon is an expression of our family's love of antiques. If you enjoy the eclectic, sophisticated and whimsical then you will probably appreciate this stunning cottage in Leipers Fork village. Imagine if Ralph Lauren had a yard sale and you will capture something of the essence of this place.

Brigadoon is beautiful. It is a quirky, post Civil War home that has succumbed to a slight British invasion. Two distinct living rooms and sun/dining room combination give the home its identity. A queen bedroom on the main level offers a traditional sleeping experience; upstairs a queen bedroom suite has a loft feel to it. Single bed, daybed and optional inflatable queen bed will allow for additional places to rest the head. The kitchen, aka 'the coop,' has enough utensils to cook if you so desire. You can also wash up in a wonderful walk-in shower or soaker tub. A wonderful back deck allows you to further escape the village thoroughfare.

We love pets with three Scottish Terriers of our own: Bentley, Chester and Magpie. That said, all pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis and most likely subject to a $75 non-refundable deposit per pet.

We bought this house because we fell in love with Leiper's Fork and Franklin, TN. Only 29 miles from downtown Nashville this house gave us the best of both worlds - town and country!

Wonderful Stay

House was very clean and furnished with interesting and appealing pieces. The bathrooms and kitchen are beautiful and comfortable. We loved the setting and convenience to the Franklin area. I especially enjoyed the front porch. It's perfect as a romantic get-away or a family trip. The owners have done everything to ensure an awesome stay. We are looking forward to returning soon.

Great Family Getaway!

The Brigadoon proved to be a perfect setup for our family of eight. There was privacy 'elbow room' for the 5 adults and 3 children in our party, along with a nice common-area for visiting. Leiper's Fork is a neat little village and the house is conveniently located within walking distance of all points of interests. Thanks Christopher for providing a great abode away from home!

Charming House in a Charming Community

I was coming to Franklin with a friend to attend and art opening for the weekend, and didn’t want to stay in a hotel off the freeway. The Birgadoon was only an 8 mile drive through beautiful countryside to get to Franklin each day. One highlight of the trip was to explore the community of Leipers Fork. The Brigadoon is within walking distance of the restaurants, shops and wonderful art galleries in town. Chris has done a fantastic job on the restoration of this lovely home. He has a wonderful sense of design and the antiques throughout the home were a treat to look at each day. The kitchen and baths are modern and well appointed. It was nice to know after the activities of the day we were coming back to such a warm and friendly environment! The Brigadoon would make a lovely artist retreat for the weekend with many wonderful sites in the area for plein air painting.

Delightful

Brigadoon was an absolute delight. We are a family with two young children (6 and 2) and found the Brigadoon a perfect match of eclectic refinement and child-friendliness.Upon entering the warm and cozy environment, you can't help but curl up in one of the reading nooks. The kitchen and bath were both well appointed and supplies plentiful. Just a stroll down the road and you reach restaurants, galleries and antique shops. The location was quiet, lending itself to a wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Spring break in TN

Brigadoon was amazing. Everything was just as described and as shown in the pictures. There were 6 of us and plenty of room. The owner, Christopher, even set up an air mattress so my 13 yr old daughter and her friend could sleep together. The girls had a blast filming videos in the back yard and by the chicken coop. The house is very conveniently located and only a short drive to Franklin and Nashville. We will definitely be back.
