You have a beautiful place, lovely decor and a perfect and quiet location.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it and loved every day we were there. It was very nice and loved the updated bathrooms, kitchen and floors. The location was ideal for us, since the guys in my family played golf almost everyday and we love to ride bikes all over the island, so the bikes were very much a plus. We all enjoyed the nice flatscreen for all the football games that were on around Christmas :)
I keep calling myself 'semi-retired', but i'm probably 'fully retired' by now after decades in banking and software development. I live in Massachusetts.
Location. Location. Location. The view is one of the best on the island. The owner of the OMNI hotel corporation has been quoted as saying that the view over the marsh from the west side of the property is 'why i bought this resort'.
The pool is 50 steps from our front door. The driving range is a 5 minute walk. The Marshview Bar and Grill is a 5 minute walk. Ten minutes from our front door lie all the shops and restaurants.
Just off the patio is a huge expanse of lawn and fairway facing southwest across to the back nine of Oak Marsh and the protected wetlands and marshes in between. Off in the distance is the intracoastal and the lights of Jacksonville. In the early evening, when the golfers are done for the day, homeowners, their dogs and kids come out to play.
It feels magical - there's no other way to describe the sense of tranquility shared and observed. Oftentimes, we watch menancing clouds and thunderstorms sweep southeast of us, never landing a blow. We share the sunset with the egrets and listen to the twilight descend.
It is truly magical.
