Our Home at Maplewood - The Perfect Family Getaway

They call it Pleasant Valley for a reason. Maplewood Farm is TOTALLY PLEASANT! It is so serene! The Baumbergers are wonderful people that want their guests to be satisfied. The fishing is great. You put in your line and before you know it there's a fish and another and another. We loved the hiking trails that are well marked so you can't get lost. Looking out over the swaying rows of corn stalks from the porch swing is so beautiful and breathtaking. We saw deer and bats, listened to racoons and frogs, and enjoyed visits from Duke, Tom's dog. We had very restful nights in the comfy beds. The whole house is clean and comfortable. Oh yes, we were in blueberry heaven. We ate loads of delicious blueberries. The maple syrup made at the farm is marvelous. We found many interesting books to read from and look through. We even watched a late night movie together that we picked from the many stations they have. We had shakes at Steak and Shake. The Amish cooking at Der Dutchman is scrumptious. Both restaurants are close by. We also liked grilling out on the large deck. There's nothing like ending the day with a fire under the many stars that can be seen up in the country sky. Our time was restful, peaceful, and enjoyable. We certainly will recommend Maplewood to others. We can't wait to return to the pleasantry of Maplewood Farm.
