My wife Julie and myself (Vern) live in Northern Ontario, I have my own small business since 2001, I also am a volunteer firefighter, and an elected town councillor. My wife Julie is a elementary school teacher, we love vacationing in friendly Davenport area with all the attractions for our growing family, the highlight would be the 2 acre water park and the close proximity to Disney, shopping and other attraction in sunny Florida.
My family absolutely loves this resort for rest, relaxation, and all the fun and excitement of the water park plus all the other exceptional features that this gated community offers for the young and young at heart.
Our house is well stocked, with all the amenities of home with a touch of class, we wanted to make people feel comfortable with a reasonable price. We love the peace and quiet afforded by being a little further from the water park area finding that houses closer have a dramatic increase in traffic and excited children.
We were very pleased with our stay. Vern communicated with us prior to our arrival and was helpful in all the communications. In the house was contact info for the property manager if there were any issues but we had none. The house was great for our family of 6. It included many things from the kitchen, to the big dinning table, to the 4 bedrooms that all had flat screen tvs in them, and the four bathrooms. The washer and dryer, along with the dishwasher, were very helpful.
We thought the location of the house was best. It is at the back of the property which made it quiet and very little traffic. It was a short drive to the pool and well worth it to get that location. There is a side yard that gave us room to play outside.
The pool area was real nice. There are also many stores and restaurants in the area. Thanks for making this a great vacation.
We had a wonderful stay at this townhouse. It is at the corner of the Regal Palms property and so is very quiet and overlooks a large green area where we saw deer one morning! It was cleaned immaculately when we arrived with plenty of linens and very tastefully decorated. As we were traveling with a 2 kids and 5 adults, most of the rentals had very small dining tables, but this townhouse has a great big harvest dining table where everyone could sit and enjoy a meal together. One bedroom on the main level and the other on the second level both have king-sized beds and the other two bedrooms have full beds. Each room has a flat screen TV which was great for the kids. The unit even has a full-sized washer and dryer which came in handy because we had just arrived from a cruise. Some starter supplies are provided, but I'd recommend bringing extra garbage bags, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid and sponges if you're going to be there a couple of days.
The resort is large and well-maintained and peaceful. The pool complex is nice too with the highlight being the large lazy river and pool. The kids enjoyed the water slide and floating around the lazy river. There is a per day resort fee that you have to pay at the beginning of your stay but you get wristbands and towel cards for fresh towels every time you visit the pools. There is a pizza restaurant too attached to the complex but there is a lot nearby. One of the nicest things is that there is a Publix right next door to the property and a CVS across the street. This way we could buy fresh ingredients and cook at home. It's pretty convenient to Disney and Universal Studios too.
Vern, the owner of the property is a great guy and very responsive to any questions you might have. He let us check out a few hours later than the stated check-out time on the last day - we just had to ask. The property manager is just a phone call away and lives nearby but we had no reason to call him.
All in all, a very memorable vacation! We will visit again!
The description was very accurate the location was great. The property was clean well maintained. Was very impressed with the owner he sent us directions by e-mail how to get to the property from airport and also directions to get to restaurant and shopping. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family. We went to Disney World and did some shopping. The condo was well equipped for our stay. The pool was great and refreshing. The only negative we had is that we had to leave after our weeks holiday.
We have stayed at the Regal Palms Resort once before this trip. The resort itself was great! The pool bar, bartenders, waiters, pools, events at the club house, etc. were all great experiences to keep my family busy on days we didn't visit a theme park. The unit itself was very nice. Updated townhome with extras. Very spacious and I loved how it was at the very back of the resort and it was an end unit too! Great bang for your buck! You couldn't pay this price for an equivalent stay closer to Disney. Worth every penny! And the owner was excellent! He made himself available to is when we had an issue at the townhome and he fixed it within 5 minutes - all while he was in Canada and we were in Florida! Great vacation and experience!
Overall I was greatly impressed with the rental unit. It is better than the pictures even look. There was so much space and all top notch furnishings. There is new furniture, comfortable beds, ample towels and good cable/TVs in all the rooms. Perfect for a family! You do need to plan to bring dishwasher, laundry detergent, hand soap, etc. But kitchen is nicely equipped. We took advantage of the great pool area every day. We did go down to pool area early to get our chairs as the pool area fills up, so it helps to have your own pool towels so you do not risk losing the resort towels.
The garbage situation was not ideal as the last tenants garbage was on our back patio until Monday and some animals got in it so it was a mess to clean up. That would be my only complaint!
The area has lots nearby for grocery shopping and food. Took about 30 minutes to get to Sea World and 40 min to get to Legoland. Clearwater Beach was about 1.5 hr away.
All in all a wonderful vacation, so much so we booked it already for next year! Vern was great to work with and could not have been happier.
This house was beautiful. Some upgrades have happened since the pictures. And for the better. Beautiful bench table and big flat screens is all bedrooms. It was very clean. And Vern was very good to deal with. He also returns emails very quickly. The beds were comfortable and as were the pillows.
Beautiful deck off one bedroom to sit out on and the back yard and the side yard is amazing for kids to play.
We will be back for sure!
