We stayed in this apartment during a period of 4 days in May (4 adults 4 kids). If you read nothing else, please read this: BE VERY CAREFULL IF THINKING ABOUT RENTING THIS APARTMENT, IT CAN RUIN YOUR VACATION. This was the fourth vacation rental that we had stayed in by the way-by far the worst.
Owner = Very nice and helpful. He answered all of our queries in due time. He let us check into the apartment around 9:00 am in the morning, well before the required check in time. While warm and friendly, he significantly lacks attention to detail-He either lacks attention to detail or simply just does not care about the apartment he rents out. Basic knowledge of what is required from a vacation rental owner is also lacking.
Location = Very close to Abbey wood station (10 min walk), which can easily take you to central London in about 35 min. Very close to a nice size grocery store (2 min).
Cleanliness = When we walked into the apartment, we were astounded to see how dirty the apartment was. It had not been cleaned I a long time. It looked like it was never cleaned after the last tenants had departed. There was trash in the trash bins and all over the floors. We spend the first two hours there cleaning the apartment. Every dish had food particles stuck on it. The bathroom toilet seat was disgusting and nowhere close to sanitary.
Safety = The apartment was not suitable to live in. Every time someone took a shower in the second floor, it would rain down below in the first floor, which was the kitchen. When we informed the owner about the leak, he acted very unsurprised and indifferent. This took me by surprise considering that there were several electrical cables running throughout the kitchen ceiling. The apartment smelled unpleasently. The beds smelled of old sweat. It was difficult to fall asleep because of the smell. We had to keep the windows wide open at night to minimize it. The sheets also smelled as if they had not been washed. We stayed there the 4 days for lack of other options considering the size of our family.
Promises = We were promised by the owner that some food would be provided to facilitate our arrival. There was no food in the apartment. The apartment was not stocked in any way that mattered. There was only one roll of toilet paper. Lucky for us the grocery store was near by and open.
Garden = Though a selling point, the grass in the back yard "garden" had not been cut in quite a while. We were unable to use the backyard at all.

Although This comes as a surprise to us as we are of the believe that you were happy with our service as you personally stated to us. This must have been a misunderstanding But all the same we appreciate every comment as this enables us to improve on our area of weaknesses.
We are always improving our services to our guest and will endeavour to note these concerns and Improve on them going forward.
We are sorry for this and are very happy that we were able to give you the discount we gave you and also for not taking exit cleaning fees from you on that occassion a a goodwill gesture.
