About The Owner

I'm honored to manage this beautiful property. It is quite possibly the loveliest place in all of wine country, so I feel very lucky to be able to help others experience it. The estate it is on has been owned by the same family for several years. The cottage is exquisitely maintained and professionally managed.

The Owner purchased this house in 2000

Why The Owner chose Sonoma

Close to the town of Sonoma, yet far enough to feel you're in your own private world

Bettina and John, romantic getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely cottage, and the view was breathtaking. If you want to stay somewhere off the grid, that's quiet, romantic and secluded then this is the place for you. You wake up to only the sound of the wind, and the first thing you see when you open your eyes is the white linen curtain and a backdrop of rolling vineyards, trees and flowers. Truly lovely and the most relaxing way to wake up.

The Jacuzzi is amazing, the view from it is stunning. You can see the city lights and every star in the sky!

We went into Sonoma and surrounding areas for tasting, and the actual town was our favorite. We also ate a "A girl and a Fig", you must try the Lavender Crème Brule...out of this world!!

The management company was very communicative, we got in and out with no issue and they are great about giving you privacy during your stay. We also forgot a jacket there, and they sent it to us without delay and free of charge. Nice.

I would only recommend that you pack or buy a few things extra than we did, as it is secluded and a good distance from the store, so not having some essentials is tough to remedy otherwise.

Also, the other reviews mention cell service, or the lack thereof. There is no cell service. This was fine with us, although we did have kids to check in with, so we would travel closer to the main drag to get a signal, but if you can not be out of touch for hours at a time this might be difficult. It was a welcome change for us though=)

Next time I plan to bring:

Shower soap and bathroom soap (there were some, but they were very tiny)

Bottled waters

Ice

no condiments or spices (besides salt and pepper), so if you cook like we did you will need all the basics

Bring coffee, there is a coffee maker but you will need coffee and the fixings

My recommendation to management would be:

-more flatware, there was only plates enough for four, so if you used more than one during a meal or needed more for prep it was limited. Not a biggie, but certainly convenient to have more flatware.

-Also, there was a pull out sofa, but no sheets for is, just a duvet and pillows. So, extra bedding would be a plus and more comfortable.

-An extra propane tank, we had enough for our one dinner but it was very low and we could not find a back-up.

Otherwise, it was perfection!! We can not wait to come back!

SECLUDED WITH A KILLER VIEW

  • 5 of 5

We arrived to a very clean cozy cottage with unbelievable views! Very charming and lots of privacy. Bed very comfy, very quiet, slept fantastic! We only had cocktails and snacks there each night before venturing out to local fine restaurants, but had we been able to stay longer we definitely would have picked up some steaks and grilled right there (nice clean grill) for dinners! Every evening after returning from dinner we sat outside under the stars for hours chatting and sipping vino! Loved it, thanks so much!

Amazing Vineyard View

  • 5 of 5

The accommodation was exactly as presented. No surprises! The cottage was clean and comfortable and the view of the vineyards and San Francisco Bay was amazing. The owner's agent was businesslike, friendly and very responsive to any need that arose. We found the location very convenient for touring the wineries in the Sonoma and Napa valleys. We plan on returning soon.

A Comfortable, Warm Cottage with Spectacular Views

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I visited Sonoma for our five-year anniversary and stayed for about a week. This mountain cottage was just as cute as pictured -- very warm, comfortable and clean. The views from the isolated mountain top were superb. Staff, property manager, and neighbors were friendly and provided good recommendations. We went to SF for a Giants game, visited Sonoma and Napa wineries, and took in a few bike rides (though biking was quite a challenge on this steep road). I highly recommend Della Santina in town for excellent food and service, as well as the Yeti in Glenn Ellen. The wine bar at the Ledson Hotel was lovely. We can't wait to return.

Wine tasting weekend

  • 5 of 5

You won't find a better place for a couple. My fiance and I had a picnic during the day overlooking the vineyard. We slept during the day on the porch. The hot tub was great at night. Perfect get away. Highly recommend.
