On the Old Tiffany Ranch in Ignacio Colorado Est.1890, currently is Pat-Way Cattle Company, Inc. This old time cabin has been remodeled, updated with a brand new addition completed in 2011. Guestbook comments from the owner

Tom and Debs stayed on the ranch the most beautiful time of the year. All of the cottonwoods were pure gold and the weather was perfect. They took the color train (DSNG) from Durango up to Silverton and took hundreds of pictures. Tom went fishing on the ranch and took daily hikes. It is very quiet and relaxing.

Pondside Idyll

  • 5 of 5
We had a lovely 4 days at the affordable ranch cabin which is set in a lovely spot about 30 miles along a beautiful drive North of Durango.....perfect for us with kids- a lovely spacious cabin with a large very comfortable king bed. Thanks very much to Ranch Owner Wayne not only for the ride out to see the cattle just after we arrived, which the kids loved but the jack when we found we had a flat tire just before we departed....if you ever get a flat in the area- Walmart is your friend for a quick repair;)
The local area was beautiful-if you have kids there is a wonderful rec centre in Durango with a waterslide and wet play stuff.....our kids loved this and of course the steam train from Durango is stunning. Thanks very much Patti for sending on our items we left behind with such efficiency.

A quiet stay which is not too remote!

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I stayed at the Wayne and Patti Buck ranch cabin for a week to start out our honeymoon. And we both were very happy with the cabin itself, the location, and above all the hospitality! Yes it is located on their property not far from the homestead, however, the Buck's we're very warm hosts and intuitively scarce. You can find the seclusion you are looking for here and felt very much as though we we're located exclusively on our own estate! The view is excellent from the front over looking the irrigation pond, the trees, and the Mesa border beyond which leads into New Mexico. The rear is where my wife and I liked to catch some sun and enjoy a few drinks as the sun went down. The interior of the cabin was large and more than we had needed by far! Also it was very clean and well kempt as is the rest of the Buck ranch. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and prepare food so don't forget to stop on your way in and pick up some grocery's and of course something to put on the grill! The bed we slept in was very plush and comfortable and you'll also find a tv in the kitchen area with a small assortment of movies. What I like the most is if your not one to sit around (and I'm not) the small town of Ignacio is a short 10-12 minutes away where you'll find a couple shops, 2 gas stations, a laundromat, and a casino! And what ever you may possibly want to do or need Durango is about 35 minutes away filled with amenities and adventure! And if you have a day to spend, from the cabin, about 1 ¾ hours away is the beautiful town of Silverton! The drive is gorgeous but if you'd rather, hop on the vintage Silverton train in Durango!
Thank you Wayne and Patti, immensely for your hospitality, campfire stories and a wonderful stay at your cabin! Hoping to return soon!

Quiet and relaxing, perfect little getaway

  • 5 of 5
We stayed on the ranch with our 3 daughters this summer. The cabin was great, perfect for our family and the kids liked sleeping up in the loft. Patti and Wayne were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Wayne took us out to feed the cows, which the kids loved! After a long day of playing in Durango or Mesa Verde, it was very nice to come back to the ranch where it was quiet and peacful where we could cook up dinner, eat outside, sit in the hot tub and just wind down. We had a great time. Thanks Patti and Wayne!

Charming and absolutely unforgettable

  • 5 of 5
We arrived for our Christmas holidays and were dully impressed by the guest house. It had everything we needed during our stay. The kitchen was absolutely stuffed with all essentials. I always cook myself and it was my great pleasure to see that everything I needed was at hand.
The house is very spacious and gets a lot of light. The views are peaceful and charming. By far our best experience of vacation rental.
A lot of deer at driveways, so be careful when driving especially after dusk.
We didn't get too much snow but wolf creek resort is the right place to get a lot winter fun.
Thanks Patti and Way for such a great opportunity!!!!!!

NICE QUIET COUNTRY PLACE

  • 5 of 5
had a very nice relaxing stay at a pretty setting on a cattle ranch. the old house has been remodeled and is comfortable. you are a ways out of town, so keep that in mind, about 20 miles from Durango. there are a couple of miles of well maintained gravel road leading to the ranch. the description on the site is quite accurate, but the second bath, is very limited, as it states. the people are nice, and accommodating. there is a dog kennel on the property, which concerned me, but turned out to not be a problem. no dog barking is heard, even when the employees are walking the dogs. if you want a quiet stay in the country, this may be the place for you.
