This charming apartment is located in right in the center of one of the most beautiful and authentic plazas of colonial Cartagena. In the same Plaza you have the Museo del Oro, the Museo de la Inquisición, and the main Cathedral. On a walking distance you have fine restaurants, boutiques and cafes.
The apartment is perfect for up to 4 people. It has an artistic flair and has been inspiration for writers and artists like Javier Bardem while filming 'Love in the times of Cholera' (based on the García Marquez novel).
The apartment has a master bedroom with a king bed and full bathroom, a room with two single beds, a separate full bathroom and a living/dining room. In the social area there is a swimming pool and on the top floor there is a roof terrace with a wonderful 360 view of the historic colonial citiy and the Caribbean sea. There is a 24 hour doorman, Internet, TV, air conditioning, ventilators, and a lady that takes care of the appartment and who is an expert preparing Caribbean meals and this with no extra charge.
You can easily arrange with hotels and travel agencies for day trips to the rosario islands (there is a very nice aquarium and a Delphine show), or to the volcanito, to have a natural mud bath in the crater of a volcano. You can also just relax and walk around, eat well have your daily 'siesta' and enjoy the Caribbean mood!
I am a Colombian artist. I love Cartagena! Its a city with wonderful people and full of magic and inspiration!
I enjoy having guests from all over the world. I have myself lived in many places, speak spanish, german, english and some french.
Its a place full of inspiration
you are right in the center of the city, jet will feel like in a quiet oasis. Ada can cook better than any restaurant and I love taking care of my guests!
"The apartment was just what we wanted.......beautifully maintained, clean, and perfectly located on a lovely plaza in the old city a short distance from the wall. The owner is always just a phone call away - even out of country - and the housekeeper, Ada, is a jewel. She was there on our arrival and for our departure, took us to the market, and cooked two lovely dinners for us on request. We spent countless hours exploring the old city, taking in the plazas, museums, art galleries, walked the wall, enjoying the many pieces of street art - sculptures and grafetti murals. Cartagena is definitely a city to visit, and Chechi's apartment a place to stay."
This charming apartment is very well located. You have to visit the Gold Museum, the Inquisition Museum, and the main cathedral. You have lots of restaurants and cafes on a walking distance, to enjoy typical meals and tropical fresh fruit juices.
I love taking a horse carriage in the afternoons and siting at the city stone walls to see the sunsets. A near tourist agent can arrange for a visit to the islands, where you can have a nice lunch, or go to the aquarium. A must see is the 17th-century Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, the greatest fortress ever built by the Spaniards in their colonies.
