La Grange is a brand new barn conversion with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in a beautiful tranquil hameau. The large Living / Dining room has a wood burning stove and two settees. TV, satellite, DVD, stereo. With large double doors that open to the pool and teraced decking. The large Kitchen / Dining room is fully fitted with every appliance including cooker with ceramic hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer. Plenty of parking space. The Famous Monday Market of Mirepoix must not be missed. 5 minutes drive away Mirepoix has the finest example of a Medieval Square in all of France. Other destinations with half hours drive are Cathar Country, Monseigur, Carcasonne and Le Cite, World Heritage Site, setting of the top selling book Labyrinth. Beautiful Toulouse is an easy hour away as is Narbonne on the Mediterranean; skiing at Mont D-Olmes can be enjoyed at the same distance. The amazing rates are so we can get Le Grange established. A great deal of thought has gone into this barn conversion making it a really comfortable house. The standard of the accomodation is excellent, great to have so many bathrooms and the bikes were an added bonus for us. It is not only well equiped with every thing you need, but everything is of a very nice quality.
Set in a lovely walking area. The town of Mirepoix is very close and is good for all your shopping needs, dont miss the Monday Market!
We were a party of 5 'mature' adults and found the house to be just perfect for us, but it would certainly suit families as well.
Stayed 5-12 September 09, 7 days of perfect sunny blue skies, not a drop of rain.- Many thanks Diane ( and Friends ) for a super stay-

Beautiful house! Great location.

We stayed at this charming home to celebrate our 10th Wedding anniversary and had a fantastic time, with much thanks to the beautiful accommodation. We stayed during November and the house is warm and very comfortable with beautiful furnishings and every convenience, including a fully equipped kitchen and luxury bathrooms. The location is perfect for visiting the local offerings of Mirepoix with it’s history, cafes and restaurants. We also found it easy to take and enjoy day trips through the French country side.

Highly recommended for a romantic getaway or for family vacations!

Great house Great location

Recently stayed for a week with 7 friends. House has been done up beautifully and is well equiped with washing machine, dish washer and tv etc. Mirepoix is 5 min down the road (watch out for sneaky speed camera near bend) which is a lovely little town and has supermarkets, bars/cafe, restaurants.

The surrounding countryside is great with plenty of little trails and GR routes to explore. The pool is not large but is big enough to dive into and paddle round in on a hot summers day.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday and I would definately recommend the house.

Barn, Larche, Mirepoix

My family and I rented the Barn in July 2008. We were the very first people to rent the house and everything was new and shiny. We found everything very, very nice and must complement the hosts for their good taste in furniture and equipment.
Our hosts were really friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make us have a nice week.
We were 4 adults and 2 teenagers and had plenty of space. We were allowed to bring our dog which we enjoyed very much.
The countryside is beautiful and the nearest town, Mirepoix is charming and interesting, so it is altogether worth a visit.
