Staff party getaway

Wow! The pictures do not do justice to how lovely this property is and how close to the beach you are- just across A1A- maybe 45 seconds walk. We had a big company party plus our 2 kiddos, and I can say that we all found something we loved about the mansion. There is a beautiful pool that is deep enough to do laps, but shallow enough for our 5 year old to reach the bottom- perfect for learning to swim! The house itself is truly luxurious, with ample and comfy bedrooms up and downstairs, a huge kitchen with top of the line equipment, a massive living room with a bar area complete with sink and fridge. And the two main bathrooms are borderline obscene in their grandeur- with overhead 'showers' that hang from the high ceilings and jetted tubs that could host a family reunion.
The beach is close, clean, and I had a blast snorkeling just off the shoreline. The water is akin to the Caribbean- clear blue and the perfect temperature. Tiny fish followed my toes around for as long as I was in the water. I miss my little friends :)
I personally didn't leave the house except to go the beach all week- but our friends drove down to Miami for a night of dancing and bar hopping. Another guest chartered a fishing boat and came back with 3 large kingfish we grilled up for dinner.
There are also plenty of grocers, bars and restaurants nearby if you'd like to hit the town.
In all, we hosted over 20 people and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. The owners were kind and welcoming and made us feel like that was our home for the week. Bret (owner) also showed me another property they were getting ready, just a few doors down A1A from the mansion. It will be a toss up between the two when we return next summer. It too was gorgeous- 3 stories I believe, with an elevator, a plush living room overlooking the ocean, balconies on every floor- and a pool, of course.
It was the first vacation I've ever returned from and felt truly relaxed- even with a crew of epic proportions. Thank you Bret and Wendi for maintaining such a lovely getaway property and I hope we'll be back soon!
