Your doorway is just 1-1/2-blocks from the sands and volleyball courts on West Beach near Stearn’s Wharf, and easy walking distance to downtown State St. shops and restaurants. Also very close is the Amtrak station; no need for a car at all if arriving by train!

The main-floor Living Room has a top-quality queen pull-out sofabed by AU for additional quests, and a 32' flat-screen HD-TV with HD-DirecTV and DVD-player. The small galley kitchen has a full fridge and stove/oven with granite counters, and is outfitted with microwave, coffee-maker, NutriBullet blender, toaster and cookware/dishware. French-doors off the living area lead to a spacious, private outdoor deck area beside Mission Creek with patio table/chairs. Lots of birdlife.
Upstairs the sunny bedroom has a plush-top queen-size bed with down duvet & pillows, top-quality large dresser, desk and vanity, with whirlpool tub and shower in a white-tiled bathroom. Exotic walnut floors extend throughout. WiFi internet coverage is free.
Bicycle(s) are available for shared use. Laundry facilities are on-site. Non-smokers only please.

We are new residents of Santa Barbara, having recently moved from the Sacramento area and Canada before that. We had occupied the front main unit of this beautiful tri-plex by the beach until late-2013, and we oversee the property ourselves, including a unique rooftop aeroponic garden. Health-conscious and fitness oriented, our family enjoys beach volleyball, bicycling and running right here in West Beach with its nearby amenities.

West Beach is THE place to stay in SB for both beach and downtown access. Very few properties become available here.
The historic building and charming unit are unique in SB. The privacy offered by the backyard enclosed patio by Mission Creek is special. The rooftop Tower Garden and patio are open to guests upon request or during set hours.
Just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed the stay. The place is beautiful (even nicer than the pictures!) ~ and the location really is super. Thanks again for your assistance.

The 2-story rental is perfect for a couple. Being more removed from the street, the rental offers a bit more privacy. And also for the same reason, we didn't need to keep the blinds closed all the time, so we could let natural light fill the space. The whole place is modestly sized, but has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We made good use of the kitchen and had home-made breakfast every morning. Other things we loved about the rental: lots of dresser space so we don't need to keep our bags open on the floor, very comfortable bed, excellent water pressure, and the many windows. The best part about the rental is its location. We were literally 3 blocks from a bunch of trendy restaurants and wine shops, 3 blocks from the wharf, half a mile (which makes for a romantic waterfront stroll) from the harbor, and a quick breezy shuttle ride (about 2 miles for those wishing to do more walking) from State Street shopping/restaurants/sightseeing. We even saw a woodpecker on the tree outside the window and a family of ducks in the creek by the back patio. One of the drawbacks is the Amtrak station being less than a block away (which would be a plus for anyone without a car), so every now and then we would hear the train horn, the latest we heard it was at 9pm. The stairs to the second floor bedroom is somewhat steep and not appropriate for older (or very young) travelers. Overall we loved our stay and hope to return soon!

We really enjoyed our recent stay at this beautiful 2 level apartment in the heart of Santa Barbara. The apartment is close the the beach and there is plenty of parking. The unit is clean and comfortable and is updated quite nicely. The good sized living room with flatscreen TV is very comfortable. The kitchen is small but big enough to get by for breakfast or other meals. There is a great fenced private patio out back beside the creek which is a nice way to relax with a glass of wine in the evening. The bedroom upstairs is large and comfortable with a comfortable bed. There are beach chairs and other items for use which is handy, and shared laundry. It is near the train so we were woken up a few nights by that but it wasn't a big deal. The owner is friendly and helpful and easy to communicate with. We would recommend this unit to our friends and family and would stay here again.
Nice quiet location in great neighborhood and a 2 block walk puts you at the harbor half way between Stearns Wharf and the Breakwater. You can ride the trolley from Stearns Wharf downtown. The little apartment was very comfortable. The owners were very helpful in answering questions via phone and email and helping us secure lodging at a nearby Inn for nights our unit wasn't available. The photos are what got my attention when looking for lodging and they are accurate. I'd return to this property and recommend to friends.

We spent two nights in this nice apartment. It is a great location for those interested in visiting the beach area and State St. The owner is extremely attentive, responsive and helpful. The unit was private, clean and well maintained and it was very quiet during our visit.
