This is a direct oceanfront corner unit with one of the largest lanais in Kona. The unit was remodeled in the summer of 2011 with a new kitchen, bathrooms, living & dining areas, as well as the bedrooms. It has windows on three sides lending to a bright airy feel and boasts beautiful sunset & ocean views. It is steps from the most famous surf spot on the Big lsland - Banyans. You can spot dolphins, turtles, and whales from the lanai.

There is free wireless internet, 1 assigned parking spot (which is conveniently located close to the elevator and at no extra charge), basic cable, and a phone allowing free local & long distance calls to North America (including Canada). Everything from major grocery stores to farmers markets are all within a 15 minute drive from the complex. We're about 2 miles from the restaurants, shopping, and excitement of the historic town of Kailua-Kona. It's about a 20-25 minute drive to/from Kona International Airport (KOA) and about 15 minutes from Honokohau Small Boat harbor where most fishing charters, and many dive charters, etc. are based.

Very nice new remodel - the kitchen and living room have had major updates and allow for better, unobstructed views of the ocean. Even without the remodel, the view is unparalleled. As soon as you walk in the door, you hear the soothing sound of the ocean. The views from the living room, lanai, and kitchen are awesome. There's nothing like unwinding on the lanai - watching the sealife, surfers & sunset. We love falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean.

Home away from Home

Banyan Tree is our "Home Away from Home"! The amenities and layout of the condo was so comfortable and everything we needed. There was no need for air conditioning because of the cross breezes. The lanai was so nice and large. We ate all our meals on the lanai, watching the dolphins, whales and surfers.

Kyle was so accommodating and very interested in our comfort during our vacation. Our unit was clean and everything we needed, lots of towels, linens and kitchen utensils.

We loved the pool. We spent hours reading, watching the surfers, whales, turtles. We have yet to find a property where there is so much activity right in front of us!! The parking garage was clean, place to wash the salt off your car and sand off things you take to the beach. The building is well taken care of.

I would definitly recommend this property to anyone who asks, and we have. We are looking forward to next year, yes, we have already booked it!!

Superb Accommodation, Amazing views!

If you want ocean front, this is it!This was a surprise quick trip for my husband and I to the Island right before the holidays and boy was it worth it. The corner condo unit was beautiful, really comfortable, super clean, modern, and well equipped with everything you need, from boogie boards to fast wireless Internet. It was all ready to go. We just walked in, bought a few groceries and needed nothing else.

As soon as you walk into the unit and turn right you can see the big beautiful Hawaiian sky hovering over the ocean. First thing I did was open up the lanai doors and listen to the waves crashing over the reef.

I can't say enough about the view.We saw numerous whales and dolphins from the lanai, and the sunsets were breathtaking. Restaurants were within reach as the location is close enough to everything in Kona. The only problem we found, was that we could not stay longer.

I wanted to thank the owner Kyle for being so prompt in returning my calls as I had a couple quick questions while booking. So happy we chose this unit and we will definitely be coming back soon.

This was everything we could ask for. Amazing view, great sized rooms, lots of extra amenities, towels, boogie boards etc

We saw whales and dolphins from the lanai! The pool is beautiful and if you love the ocean, this is the best apartment, the waves break so close so you hear beautiful ocean all day! We love love loved it! Kyle is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with...

This is a clean, modern, upscale place right on the beach. The wide shoulders on Alii Drive made it fun and easy to take long walks along the waterfront. It's convenient to restaurants and shops. Safe, covered parking. The entire place was recently redecorated including new appliances and TV. We especially enjoyed watching the dolphins and turtles right from our lanai. Hawaiian Turtle Daze

Just what the Dr. ordered. R & R. Everything we needed was there from towels and boogie boards to dishwasher soap and sunsets. The cleanliness of the grounds, the pool and the hot tub were exceptional due to Barry who lives at Banyan Tree complex. Kyle was very accomodating as Hurricane Iselle was due to land on the island a mere 2 hours after we did! To our great relief, in calling just the day before to see if we could rework our stay to avoid the storm, Kyle was very accomodating and helpful! The sounds of the waves, the non stop entertainment of the surfers, the endless choices of restaurants, amazing swims off the Kona pier to the Iron Man buoy just to swim back with a pod of 40 dolphins, snorkeling with 3 turtles just down the street, the ease of getting to grocery stores and sights around the Island...we couldn't have asked for a better holiday. Thank you Kyle and I am sure we will be back!

The Banyan Tree Condominium is a 20 unit direct ocean front complex located on Ali'i Drive at mile marker 2.8 in Kailua-Kona. Mile markers are frequently used to give directions along Ali'i drive with mile marker zero at the Kailua Pier in the center of town and mile marker five at the Sheraton Keauhou Resort to the south. We are less than two miles from historic Kailua-Kona town and approximately 20-25 minutes from the Kona airport. The relatively small size of this complex lends to a private and homey feel. There are fours floors serviced by both stairs and an elevator with the ground floor being parking and the 20 condos and communal lanai spread out over the remaining three. The phone allows free local and long distance calls to North America (including Canada). The outdoor pool, hot-tub, and barbeque area are right on the ocean. Weekly farmers markets and many grocery stores/markets near by make it convenient to find what you need. Out front is arguably the most well-known surf spot on the Big Island - Banyans.
