This is a direct oceanfront corner unit with one of the largest lanais in Kona. The unit was remodeled in the summer of 2011 with a new kitchen, bathrooms, living & dining areas, as well as the bedrooms. It has windows on three sides lending to a bright airy feel and boasts beautiful sunset & ocean views. It is steps from the most famous surf spot on the Big lsland - Banyans. You can spot dolphins, turtles, and whales from the lanai.

There is free wireless internet, 1 assigned parking spot (which is conveniently located close to the elevator and at no extra charge), basic cable, and a phone allowing free local & long distance calls to North America (including Canada). Everything from major grocery stores to farmers markets are all within a 15 minute drive from the complex. We're about 2 miles from the restaurants, shopping, and excitement of the historic town of Kailua-Kona. It's about a 20-25 minute drive to/from Kona International Airport (KOA) and about 15 minutes from Honokohau Small Boat harbor where most fishing charters, and many dive charters, etc. are based.

Very nice new remodel - the kitchen and living room have had major updates and allow for better, unobstructed views of the ocean. Even without the remodel, the view is unparalleled. As soon as you walk in the door, you hear the soothing sound of the ocean. The views from the living room, lanai, and kitchen are awesome. There's nothing like unwinding on the lanai - watching the sealife, surfers & sunset. We love falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean.

OUTSTANDING!!

We loved this place. First time to Hawaii and definitely will not be the last. We were so excited walking through the doors. The unit was so spacious and clean. Felt like we were surrounded by blue water. We spent a lot of time on the super roomy balcony. The sunsets were outta this world. The unit had everything we needed and we were excited to find the extra sets of snorkeling gear and other beach stuff. There was even a cooler for us to use. Great location with lots of restaurants close by. Thanks Kyle!

SUNSETS IN PARADISE!

Beautiful condo and the views are outta this world. The corner unit sits right over the water where we spent a lot of time, enjoying the sound of the ocean and feeling the breezes. It had everything we needed,plus! Lots of space for us and the two kids. The hottub and pool were an added bonus. Location was terrific with town and restaurants close by. Could not have asked for a smoother family vacation. We were so happy that the owner kyle was accessible and there to answer all our questions.

THE PERFECT START TO OUR VACATION

We couldn`t have asked for a better start to our Big Island vacation. My only downfall was that I didn`t take it for longer. It was seriously THAT good.
The comfort of the condo was excellent. The king size bed and the ocean lulling me to sleep every night was a dream come true.
We ate every meal out on the lanai. I found it difficult just to leave the condo!! Beautiful.
This condo has everything you could possibly need, towels, coolers, snorkel gear, even books. The city of Kona was very enjoyable.
Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. If I ever have a chance to come back to the Big Island, I will take this place again without hesitation.

WOW!!! BETTER THAN I REMEMBER IT!

Stayed here for work a few years back and promised my wife and kids I would bring them at somepoint. The owner remembered who I was and extended me the same rate I got as a single traveler in 2011. The place was as good as it gets then, but has somehow gotten better. There are new window coverings, more beach toys and other upgrades. The deck is as awesome as ever and with the Wi-fi, I spend many hours "working" out there while the kids played in the pool. Thank you again so much for your hospitality.

EVERYTHING PERFECT!

What a wonderful experience for our first time on the Big Island. The Banyan tree was an excellent unit. Very clean, pool and hot tub used daily by us and again, very clean. The lanai was very large and the view of the ocean was nothing less than spectacular. Every morning we sat enjoying coffee, watching the surfers, listening to the waves and always waiting for the amazing sunsets. Brilliant! Would book this unit again without hesitation.

PERFECT LOCATION

We spent a week in this beautiful apartment and we absolutely loved it. The location could not get any better. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Every morning you can have your coffee in the balcony while watching the locals surfing, and in the evening enjoy the beautiful sunset with a glass of wine. The apartment is spacious and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool and hot tub was great. The complex is well kept and Barry, the resident manager keeps all the communial areas tidy and nice. The location is great, not a busy area but close enough to resturants and shops. The poke shack 2 building away is great for lunch. The small market cross the road is so convenient for last minute items. Kyle was very prompt in responding to our query or concerns. We will definitely go back there. Thanks Kyle for making our visit to Big Island such an enjoyable experience.

The Banyan Tree Condominium is a 20 unit direct ocean front complex located on Ali'i Drive at mile marker 2.8 in Kailua-Kona. Mile markers are frequently used to give directions along Ali'i drive with mile marker zero at the Kailua Pier in the center of town and mile marker five at the Sheraton Keauhou Resort to the south. We are less than two miles from historic Kailua-Kona town and approximately 20-25 minutes from the Kona airport. The relatively small size of this complex lends to a private and homey feel. There are fours floors serviced by both stairs and an elevator with the ground floor being parking and the 20 condos and communal lanai spread out over the remaining three. The phone allows free local and long distance calls to North America (including Canada). The outdoor pool, hot-tub, and barbeque area are right on the ocean. Weekly farmers markets and many grocery stores/markets near by make it convenient to find what you need. Out front is arguably the most well-known surf spot on the Big Island - Banyans.
