Charming, newer beach cottage just steps away from Kids Corner and South Beach! Walk out the front door to enjoy spectacular sunsets or sit at the park steps away and watch your children play. Mermaid Cottage was built in 2006 and has 2300 sq ft of adorably decorated, well-used space. Upper level has 1 bedroom with Queen and crib, loft with 2 daybeds and 1 bath. Main level has 1 bedroom with Queen and bath off the bedroom and kitchen. Lower level has Queen bed and twin. Another full bath on the lower level. The home is equipped with full kitchen and all neccessities, with open kitchen and living room to enjoy company. Fully finished lower level with lots of living space for entertainment. LCD TV with DVD & VHS player, movies, sand toys, beach chairs and umbrella, patio and gas grill. 1/2 block to Kids Corner and 1 block to South Beach. Easy walk to town and lighthouse pier.

A Great Vacation Home

Our family has been vacationing in SH for years, and staying at several different types of places in town we have learned what's good and what's better. The Mermaid Cottage truly is a special place. We felt very much at home with all the amenities - right down to the small details that some places just don't include. Beautiful home, well maintained, great location, excellent vacation. We will be back.

We had such a wonderful time staying in this beautiful home. We had five adults and four kids with us and never felt crowded. The home is deceptively roomy but cozy and so charmingly decorated. Each room is just lovelier than the next. Its steps away from the fabulous South Haven playground and the beach. The downtown is a pleasant walk through a charming neighborhood. The area is obviously very popular, but also very quiet. The home itself was clean and clearly lovingly maintained. The owner was a pleasure to work with despite my multitude of neurotic emails and questions. She was extremely helpful and always prompt in her responses. I really can't say enough good things about this place. I have such fond memories there and can't wait to return!

I would highly recommend the mermaid cottage to any family looking for a charming, clean, up to date vacation home. My family had the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful stay at this adorable cottage and it gave us wonderful memories to go with it. This home is well maintained, beautifully decorated and spacious. The best part is, it is steps away from the beach and a huge park! In addition, this home is also walking distance to downtown South Haven. Our family really loved this home as I know you will too. We can't wait to go back next year!
