Why Carlotta Martoglio chose Pinerolo
The property I rent is on the top floor of the eighteenth century villa where my parents live.
the villa was bought by my grandfather in 1950 and, at that time, 5 families were living there.
during Worls War II the villa was the Germans hedquarter of the area: Pinerolo sorroundings and mountains were full of Partisans.
The top floor of the villa, is divided in 2 indipendent flats, that we rent for vacations.
it was completely renovated in 2010, and flats are fully equipped.
My parents live on the ground and first floor of the villa
What makes this villa unique
The flat benefits of spacious bedrooms and unique views on the Alps and the plain towards Turin.
My father Luigi personally takes care of the fantastic garden where our guests can spend time reading or drinking a glass of wine and children can play.

REVIEW POSTED ON HOMELIDAYS.COM : We, a family of 5 of which 3 kids in the age of 5, 11 and 12 stayed for a week in July 2012 in the lovely 2 bedroom apartment in Villa le Ortensie di Carlotta. Our stay has simply been great and one of the best ever. The apartment is spacious and clean, very well equipped and done up tastefully with a great view from all the rooms. It was truly a home away from home. The villa is gorgeous, very well located, with a beautiful garden (Mr. M's hobby) and great views all around. Pinerolo is a charming little town and a good base for daytrips. Best of all was the wonderful reception and hospitality provided by the family Martoglio. Due to road conditions we arrived unfortunately quite late and this must have been an inconvenience. Despite our tardiness, Carlotta and her husband were very welcoming, and even guided us from the town center to the villa. The Martoglio family are very graceful hosts who respect one’s privacy and made our stay truly memorable. Our kids loved playing in the garden with Sveva and Francesco and Semola, the golden retriever. Overall I wholeheartedly recommend anyone to stay in Villa le Ortensie di Carlotto – we will be back!
