Rising Sun Guesthouse is a beautiful restored Nova Scotia vacation home. Carefully renovated, the house combines old world character with a modern coastal inspired style.

The main floor has a tasteful living room with a propane fireplace, satellite TV, and comfy seating. There is a fully equipped kitchen that is excellent for entertaining with gourmet cookware and a dining area with a view of beautiful Jordan Bay. Downstairs is a small library and a 2 piece powder room.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, laundry facilities and a full bathroom with a claw foot tub and shower. With a view of the bay, the sunny master bedroom is furnished in a classic design, queen-size wrought iron bed, side tables, and a large closet. The guest room features two twin beds, a large dresser and closet.

The casual charm of this seaside guesthouse is a relaxing retreat. Surrounded by wildflowers, stroll down the winding path to the rocky shoreline for a day on the water. Coastal living at it best!

Rising Sun Guesthouse is located in the village of Jordan Ferry, about an 8 minute drive to the historic town of Shelburne, where you will find restaurants, shops, museums, Osprey Art Centre, and other amenities.

The guesthouse is along the scenic Lighthouse Route, about a 2 hour drive from Halifax, and a great location to explore the beautiful south shore of Nova Scotia. From beach combing to hiking and biking, sailing and kayaking, there are lots of attractions and activities to see and do. Attend one of the many festivals, or spend an afternoon soaking up the sun in one of the nearby quiet white sand beaches. Take in a harbour boat tour or you can explore the historic lighthouses that dot the area's shoreline. Don't forget your camera!!
