We are located just over a block from Commercial Street, the main strip of Provincetown. Whether you are a first time visitor, or an annual returnee, you will enjoy the clean and comfortable accommodations, within walking distance of most shops and restaurants as well as MacMillion Pier, Town Hall, The Crown and Anchor, and not too far is the Stop and Shop Grocery Store.
Provincetown has a rich history. The Pilgrim's First landed here, at Long Point, and signed the Mayflower Compact out in Provincetown Harbor. Due to the lack of farm land and drinking water, they continued on to Plymouth. Once a bustling fishing village, Provincetown is also home to the birth of the American Theatre as well many renowned Artists. Today, Provincetown provides and welcomes an eclectic mix of people.
If you feel, as most people do, that you don’t need a car in Town, there are several Ferry options from Boston that will get you here in 90 minutes. Cabs are available at the Ferry although most enjoy the walk down Commercial Street. There is also a bus and Cape Air Airlines offers service from several East Coast cities.
There are several bicycle rental shops in town and close to the property. Must see attractions include Herring Cove Beach located just over a mile away, and The National Seashore provides miles of trails for biking or hiking.
Provincetown offers many great restaurants, as well as a variety of Shops, Art Galleries, and Night Clubs. The World Famous Boatslip Tea Dance is just a short stroll.
Cape Cod National Seashore Park
In 1961, President Kennedy created the Cape Cod National Seashore and in doing so ensured that three-quarters of Provincetown would be preserved in its wilderness state as part of the Cape Cod National Seashore Park. Two of the best beaches in America, Herring Cove Beach and Race Point, are located within the CCNS along with miles of bicycle trails.
