Back in 1951 our parents were visiting a friend from Michigan State Collage and had such a great time they bought a lot, built a cottage and called it Roemanse. They were the first cottage on the road. It has been remodeled several times and is now a year around.It was a much slower pace back then with very few people and activities. Now word has gotten out and many visitors have discovered this wonderful part of the state. The lake offers so much fun. We are located right on the lake. The beach is just 25 steps out the door. There are two real nice patios. The front patio overlooks the lake and beach. It has a table that seats 6 or more. The back patio has the grill and a picnic table. Of course the view is the best. You can see the lake from the large sun room, large living room, kitchen, dining room, both small bedrooms and one master bedroom. Roemanse has a super 'flow' with the bedrooms on each side and the activity rooms in the middle. Just relax and enjoy yourself.

This is a great family rental. We are not set up for large gatherings, parties or reunions. It is just a nice cottage right on beautiful Lake Missaukee. Our nice cottage is located on beautyful Lake Missaukee, Lake Missaukee is an all sports lake. It is best known for its beaches (there are none better than ours), swimming areas (ours is sandy with a gental slope), fishing from shore or boat, water skiing, scuba diving, boating, walking the beach, relaxing on the beach, sand castle building, kayaking, and of course you can view the lake from most of our rooms or sit on the lakeside patio to watch the water activities or enjoy the best sunset views on the lake.

Lake City and area citys offer many activities, shopping, food and entertainment. You must try the Tasty Treat, (Lake City) they have the biggest ice cream cones in the north. Need a cold beer strool into the Town Pump (lake City) for a home town crowd and brew. Most are located just 1 to 20 miles from our cottage.

What a great place in a great location! Spacious and open. Cool 70's decor with modern amenities and just enough nostalgic pieces to make it feel quite comfortable! Excellent cross-breeze through the house from the lake. The thermometer read over 90 degrees but we weren't feeling it, very nice nice design!
Very comfortable and roomy. Gas and charcoal barbecue grills to suit your choice. Excellent selection of LPs (albums for you youngsters) and stereo phono to provide a wonderful blast into music popular music history. We enjoyed the games in the sunroom/family room as well as some of the books in the bookcases (I found the hidden treasure of the 5-year diary). The beach was fantastic and the kids loved the Roeboat! I'd recommend this place to any of my friends or family. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful getaway!
