We want you to feel at home with your family when you stay at the Davis Chalet.
The home is fully equipped because it is also our vacation home.
The Kitchen has a large refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinter, teapot, toaster, cooking utensils, silverware, dishes, pots, pans, etc. Coffee is available though you are welcome to bring your own.
Bedrooms will be prepared for you before your arrival with clean linens and pillows.
Laundry is available on the lower level with a large capacity washing machine and dryer.
The Loft has toys for various ages and also has a large selection of board games.
Escape with your family to our peaceful getaway in the scenic Pocono mountains. Our home is located on a rushing stream in Thornhurst Country Club Estates, adjacent to PA State Game Land 135 and Lackawanna State Forest.
The Chalet can comfortably accommodate 8-10 people.
On the main level there is a great room, two bedrooms with queen beds, and a full bath with a tub and shower. The great room includes the kitchen, dining, and living room area. This is a large open space with a cathedral ceiling, open beams, and a ceiling fan. This great room opens up to a full-house width deck through two 7ft sliding patio doors and six large window windows in the upper portion of the A-frame. The great room and deck have a view of the woods and creeks. The living room has a woodstove set in a brick wall setting. The kitchen has an electric stove, dishwasher,and refrigerator. The kitchen is stocked with all pots, pans, and utensils needed for cooking. Paper goods are available at the house as well as dinnerware for 10 people.
Overlooking the great room is a large loft area that serves as a family room. This loft area includes a full bath with an oversized shower and looks out over the circular driveway through 6 large windows in the A-frame that parallel the six windows in the great room. In the loft there is a 32” flat screen and DVD and ROKU with access to Netflex, Amazon Prime, Pandora and more.. There is also wireless internet. There is a whole-house fan on this level that draws air through the house and out through the eves. There is a queen pullout sofa bed in the loft.
The lower level includes two bedrooms that look out over the lower deck, the rear woods and creek. These bedroom have twin over full bunk beds. There is also a laundry area with a washer and dryer. This lower level provides the main entry through a sliding patio door. Outside this sliding door is a screened porch.
Both the upper and lower levels of the home have decking facing the creek that is the width of the house. Additionally there is a third deck down by the creek. All of the decks are connected by walkways and stairs that lead from the driveway and along the side of the house. There is about 2000 square feet of decks.
There is a propane/infrared grill on the deck.
Bed linens and towels are provided. For longer stays, you may use the washer and dryer to refresh them.
