Villasimius (winter citizens 3000, summer citizens 80.000 approx) is located 40 km to the east of Cagliari city, on the south-eastern peak of the Italian island of Sardinia.
Villasimius is a fully- equipped tourist town* renowned for boasting some of the most beautiful coast lines in Europe; Sloping sandy-white beaches are gently touched by crystal-clear blue waters, named Porto Giunco, Porto sa Ruxi, Spiaggia del Riso, Piscadeddus, Punta Molentis, Simius, Timiama, Cala Caterina and and Santo Stefano.
Villasimius, and all the beaches mentioned above, are part of the Marine Region of Capo Carbonara which is a very beautiful protected natural marina reservoir.
Along the coast, most famous are the ancient watch towers, 4000 years old; originally built by the invading Saracen population to defend the seas, they are today a valuable archeological attraction.
