Imagine the fun you and your family will have staying right on the water in our super funky SleepAfloat houseboat Summer Shack!

Recently renovated stem to stern, this vintage floating house is located in trendy Fox Point Marina which boasts some of the city`s hottest restaurants and bars. It`s the perfect spot for anyone coming to visit local area schools as we are steps away from College Hill, Brown University, RISD, and Downtown Providence!

Our floating home features a spacious living area with contemporary furnishings, a dining area with seating for four, a well appointed kitchenette stocked with cooking utensils, refrigerator and appliances, and a full sized bathroom with stand up shower.

Summer Shack comfortably sleeps up to 5 guests on two lofted beds in the back bedroom, one double and one single each with a memory foam mattress and waterfront views. As both these beds are lofted guests must be physically able to climb ladders to bunks otherwise there is a convertible futon in the living room that transforms into a double or two single sized beds.

For your comfort and convenience, our boat comes fully-equipped with all the amenities of home including linens, towels, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, plus bathroom products such as soaps, shampoos, and lotions. We even include condiments and a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of coffee pods for your enjoyment. Cable and WiFi are included free with the rental and the houseboat is fully air-conditioned and heated for your comfort in any season.

After a long day of touring the city there is nothing better than relaxing on your own private deck with a cold drink in hand as you enjoy 360 degrees of amazing waterfront views! And in the colder months, the huge picture window in the main salon offers guests natural sunlight and the same amazing views of Providence Bay and bridges without stepping foot outside!

The Experience:

Our boat is docked in a protected part of the marina, but there can be some occasional movement during the day when boats pass by. At night the waters are very calm and some guests even find that a bit of gentle swaying relaxes them and makes for a very restful sleep.

We are located in Fox Point, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Providence. Totally Awesome!

This is a new boat so we have posted some reviews from guests on our other boats in different cities: OMG!!!, what a lovely place to spend a weekend. My 6 yr old son expressed it best when he said "this is totally awesome Mom!" I felt like I was in a hotel room on the water. The decor was lovely and totally not expected; All the comforts of home with the feel of a cruiseship that's docked. The sunrises and sunsets from each side of the houseboat was my favorite part.

Bed More Comfortable than My Own!

This is a new boat so we have posted some reviews from guests on our other boats in different cities: Boston - Aquarius What a great week-end! The houseboat accommodations were perfect...better than a hotel. The location was amazing! It was really fun watching all the ships come through the harbor accompanied by tugboats. The marina was quiet and other boaters were very friendly. Looking forward to another stay. And by the way...the bed was more comfortable than my own!!

Exceeded Expectations!

This is a new boat so we have posted some reviews from guests on our other boats in different cities: What a fantastic experience !! The houseboat far exceeded our expectations - it was spacious, extremely well appointed and very close to all of the main attractions in Boston. The host provided an excellent overview of the area and the boat in a very professionally produced booklet. How we enjoyed the evenings on the top deck and the afternoons soaking up the sunshine.
