' There's a marvelous, peaceful aura in your property there. Can't be just the marvelous setting. Must also come from the care you give it.'
from a review by Marty
Come and enjoy our white sand beach, beautiful water, and perfect sunsets. This unique, beachfront house is the only home on a 600 foot stretch of white sand beach (that means that no house is jammed against you on either side). The spacious open floor plan features hardwood floors and tile baths, flat screen tvs,dvd players, and wifi, plus a fully outfitted kitchen and laundry room make this a perfect house for your vacation needs. It is designed with a central wall that has sets of pocket doors between two sides so that it can be rented as one whole unit (six bedrooms, two kitchens, two living rooms, etc.) or the sets of sliding pocket doors can be closed and it can be rented as two units. During the months of June and July, we only rent it as a whole unit. It is a well thought out, architect designed home that features simple decor - pine floors throughout and simple, functional furnishings. Each bedroom opens onto the Gulf breezes. It features two huge decks that span the whole gulf front of the house where rocking chairs are waiting for the guests, making the oceanfront location a perfect place to watch dolphins and sea birds.
Our Gulf County beaches were voted the number one beaches in America several years ago and many people describe this as 'Old Florida', comparatively unspoiled and unfrequented by the hordes of vacationers. We have sunsets that take your breath away and the beach is your front yard, only steps down your private walkway.
This home is located on a stretch of beach known locally as 'the Beaches' and is made up of Mexico Beach, Beacon Hill Beach, and St. Joe Beach. It is the spot where the beautiful white sand/blue water beach begins (and extends west) in the panhandle and there have been several Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues shot here because of the natural beauty of the beachfront, our beautiful dunes, and impressive beachfront plant life.
The owners live nearby and are able to give the property the attention it deserves. Please read our comments to get an idea of the relaxing nature of a stay here.
Please do not contact us for price reductions;we are already well under local market value.
No weddings; No parties are allowed on the property.
Our house rents Sunday-Sunday for weekly rentals all summer and in April.
NEWS FROM ST. JOE BEACH- Changes have occured in our area. Panama City has built a new airport and the airport features service by Southwest Air as well as other airlines. .
Sacred Heart Hospitals has opened a hospital in Port St. Joe,7 miles east of the beach house on Highway 98. It features a 24 hr emergency room and greatly expanded services for the area. In Sacred Heart on the Gulf's opening year, it has received very high ratings for professionalism and courtesy.

Four women, a full week, absolutely perfect getaway. This house (we only used half) is ideal for a great carefree vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed being in an immaculate house with enough room for us to have privacy as well as room to be together whenever we chose. The beach is right outside the back door - nothing between you and the sand. The large double porches, one up and one down, with rocking chairs for all were ideal for watching the sunset over the gulf. The nearest houses are just far enough away that it feels like you have the beach to yourself. And the beach is pristine. Beautiful white sand, amazingly clear water, and some great dolphin watching was there for us daily.
The kitchen is well stocked with all the cookware, utensils, plates, glasses, etc. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are modern with ceramic tile showers. The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage. All in all, I would say this beach house leaves little to be desired. I definitely will come again.
The location is wonderful, too, as day trips to Apalachiacola and Wewahitchka were only a few miles away. We scored some fun shopping and a bit of Tupelo honey. Most days we couldn't bear to leave the beach. Also, there are enough delightful rustic seafood restaurants nearby that we never had to worry about where to go for dinner. Thank you so much for the perfect getaway.
We were the first ones there and the last ones to leave and we didn't go anywhere because we had everything we needed in the house or on the beach! What a wonderful family vacation! Thanks for sharing your wonderful house!
We had an awesome family reunion at this duplex!! There were 19 of us and plenty of room for all. Having the two sides of the house that could be separated with sliding doors downstairs worked out well for the early risers and the late sleepers. Of course, most of our time was spent on the awesome decks (which had gates that were great since we had some little ones) and gorgeous uncrowded beach - we pretty much had the one in front of the house entirely to ourselves every day! Plenty of room to swim, spread out for frisbee games, sand castle building and shell hunting. We even had an intimate sunset marriage ceremony on the beach for my daughter that was stunning. And even though there was afternoon rain most days, it didn't last, and we were still able to stay outdoors gathered in the great rockering chairs, playing games on the deck and under the house while the rain fell. These duplexes have the best supplied kitchens of any of the places that we've been and we've had reunions in numerous places. We had one instance of needing assistance after a lightening storm knocked out the wi-fi (a freak accident) and the owners responded immediately - even though they were out of town, they got repairs done right away. We'd definitely recommend this place for your relaxing stay on a beautiful Florida beach and we look forward to another reunion there in the future.
The Gibson Duplex was perfect for our very large group! We had several family members, as well as bridesmaids, staying with us at the beach house as we prepared for the wedding of my daughter down the road at the beach across from Beacon Hill Park. The two large decks with rocking chairs provided amazing, restful views of the ocean and the beach itself was largely uninhibited and private for our group. Everything was in excellent condition at the house and the owners were very quick to offer assistance and ensure that all was well during our stay. I highly recommend!
We keep coming back for the fantastic beach, wonderful sunsets and comfy rockers for everyone overlooking the beautiful waters!
This is such a great house! It sleeps 20 in six separate bedrooms. But my favorite part was that all four upstairs bedrooms have a separate door to the great third story deck! This gives a great view of the Gulf. Wonderful rocking chairs to let you just get lost from all stress for a while! I would love to come back often!!
