Great place for a large family!

We chose this place to celebrate my inlaws 40th anniversary. We needed room for four couples, two toddlers and two teenagers. The Bourne Cottage was affordable and more than accommodated our crowd! We loved being able to eat at the large table for our meals.
The house was very clean and well equipped and Louisa went above and beyond at every step of the way to make us feel welcome and to answer questions or provide suggestions. The only issue we had was that there is in fact only one indoor shower, not 4 as the description says. But we made good use of the outdoor shower since the weather was fantastic. Had there been bad weather, we might have experienced a bit of a log jam for the shower!
We found the beach/dock not terribly conducive to small children, and opted to drive the 5 miles to Onset - gorgeous beaches, shallow, clean water, ice cream shops and pizza joints - something to please everyone!
We loved the charm of the house and the expansive grounds - no one ever worried if the kids wandered out into the yard to play. We would absolutely return!
Owner's Response: The house is indeed wonderful for large extended families. What's nice is there are several wings so it is possible to have privacy even when the house is full.
There are four indoor bathrooms: one with a shower; the rest with the original clawfoot tubs with shower hose attachments. And of course the spacious outdoor shower. (The website for some reason will not count bathrooms with only tubs, thus the source of confusion. Moving forward, I have been sure to make it clear upon the first inquiry that 3 out of the 4 bathrooms are tub only.)
Also, there are two private dock areas for swimming in the cove, and one private beach area for swimming in the bay. Two of those areas are wonderful for babies and small children as generations of family and friends will attest! The beach slopes gently into the water, and is great for babies and the elderly alike. At low tide, lovely soft sandbars are great for playing and exploring.
But, there are also many other wonderful beaches all around for every taste!
