MAGICAL PLACE

For thirty wonderful days I had the privilege of staying at Ridgeview Lodge. What a wonderful experience this was. I cannot say enough about how incredible Christy was to work with and how fantastic she made my stay at Ridgeview. The home is very comfortable and has all the conveniences you could possibly want. The layout of the kitchen, dining room and living room is great. You are never far away from family and friends. Although you are just a few moments from the center of downtown Estes, you are removed from the hustle and bustle of the area. The home looks down onto the center of the downtown area but there is an amazing privacy you feel. The street is very peaceful with very little traffic.
The beds and couches are extremely comfortable and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. After a long day of hiking it was great to come home and start a fire in the easy to use stove, relax watching TV, listen to CDs, read one of the many great books Christie has provided or watch the many birds and animals wandering by the windows. Even in the wintertime the animals that visited me were many. There was a herd of 7 mule deer that came both in the morning and again in the evening, three huge buck elks that must live close because I saw them all the time and of course the numerous kinds of birds, last count 24. Oh yes, there were also two very cute Abert's Squirrels who came to visit and entertain me.
The home and yard were super for my little dog Chloe too. She very much enjoyed her stay. I cannot thank Christie enough for allowing dogs in her home since there are very few homes in the area that will let you bring your four legged family members!
I have vacationed in Estes all seasons now and I must say I totally love wintertime here in the valley. There so many things here to do....sleigh rides, horseback riding, one of my favorites, critter watching. By the way, there are no crowds in the wintertime! It is also a plprograms put on by park rangers, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking in the totally beautiful RMNP and easure to converse with the local Estes residents. They are so very warm, helpful and friendly. Estes Park and the surrounding area are truly magical. What a place to spend your holiday!
I highly recommend this home to stay in and Christie to work with.
