Overview

Estes Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5+ Baths (Sleeps 8)

Ridgeview Lodge is nestled in the trees atop a hill overlooking the quaint town of Estes Park with stunning mountain views of Lumpy Ridge and the Twin Owls. Here you have the best of both worlds - you can escape to the mountains and relax, yet it’s only a 5 minute walk into the center of town to enjoy shops and restaurants! Open up the windows and listen to the calming sound of the river. Do you love the outdoors? The majestic Rocky Mountain National Park is just a 5 min drive away where you can enjoy wildlife, hundreds of hiking trails, rock climbing, amazing views, beautiful drives, numerous lakes and waterfalls as well as snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

The spacious, open floor plan of this home allows plenty of room for everyone as well as gathering space to spend quality time together. See many more details in the 'Further Details' section of this listing below!

The master bedroom has it’s own half bath for privacy, a plush queen size log bed, dresser, closet and writing desk. The 2nd bedroom is quite large and offers versatility for kids or adults with a log bunk bed that has a twin bed on top and queen on the bottom. There is a large dresser and plenty of closet space as well as a stash of board games and toys. These guests enjoy a full bath with tub/shower just down the hall. This home has a tankless water heater which allows back-to-back showers so all guests can enjoy a hot shower in the morning!

Downstairs is a beautiful separate suite with its own bathroom with shower, kitchenette with fridge and microwave, gas fireplace and private patio. The large suite has a queen size bed, dresser, closet and a futon that folds out to queen size as well. Guests in this suite also enjoy their own flat screen TV. With large windows and the same stunning views enjoyed upstairs, it’s hard to decide who gets to stay in this room! If desired, maximum privacy can be achieved by closing a door atop the stairs to separate this room from the rest of the house. It even has its own entrance from the outside. Overall, we can accommodate 8 guests in this home.

In the living area, enjoy two full size sofas, a flat screen TV with blu-ray player and library of movies to watch, or relax and read a book. We have lots of books about the local area so you’ll have no trouble finding things to do, if you ever want to leave the house! There is a loft above the living room with some comfy chairs and plenty of reading material. Our dining room seats 6-8 with mountain views and warmth from the wood burning stove. If you prefer to eat outdoors, the deck seats 11 and boasts amazing mountain views as well as a view of town. Enjoy the lovely sounds of the river while outside and open up the windows to enjoy it inside as well. The open kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, bakeware, serving dishes, dishes and utensils...just bring home the groceries and prepare a lovely meal for the family. We also have a Cuisinart CrockPot, toaster, blender, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, baking dishes, pizza pan, cookie sheets and mixing bowls. If you want to relax and let someone else do the cooking, we have provided menus from many places in town, including lots who deliver!

We want you to get the most out of your vacation so we have provided lots of information on things to do in town and in the national park. You can also find the events calendar for the town in the links section on our website. We have free wi-fi in the home in case you need to look up activities or even get a little work done if you can’t completely get away. We welcome dogs too! Bring your best friend along. Call us with any questions and we look forward to having you stay!

WONDERFUL VACATION

  • 5 of 5

It was so great to be back at "Ridgeview" again. This is the 9th or 10th week I have had the pleasure to stay here and I am NEVER disappointed. Our home away from home was clean and had everything we needed. Christie is so wonderful. We had to change our dates and she was so very accommodating. The location of Ridgeview is extremely handy to the beautiful village of Estes but also to both Rocky Mountain National Park entrances. The grandkids (age 4,6 and 8) had a super time playing inside and outside of the home. They just loved seeing deer and elk right outside the windows of Ridgeview Lodge. Their little dog felt right at home too! It was the first time I had been in Estes during the month of March and it was fantastic. The weather was lovely, many deer and elk around and we even saw four coyotes hunting for their dinner in Rocky. The children learn so much about the land and wildlife every time we visit Estes. Rocky is 100 years old this year and all sort of historical information is available at the park visitors buildings. I very much highly recommend Ridgeview and the Estes Park area. You just can't beat it for a wonderful family vacation.

Ridgeview Lodge stands out!

  • 5 of 5

Three couples, a teen and 2 dogs spent a snowy long weekend here at Ridgeview Lodge. I have stayed in many VRBO properties, 5 just last year alone. Speaking from experience, this was a great vacation place where the owner/manage really thought of everything to make our stay a pleasant one. The lodge's location was so great. We had this awesome view of the snow-capped peaks and twinkling lights of town below, then a 10 minute walk down the hill to all Estes Park has to offer; shopping, cafes, taverns, restaurants and outfitters. Everyone in our group marveled at the home's cozy mountain decor, and how it had everything you could need and then some. We called it "rustic luxury", and we were all for that! Plush bathrobes and towels, a wine opener, movies and games, and firewood. We almost forgot we had come up to snowshoe! The kitchen was well stocked for some gourmet cooks in our group too. The whole place was clean and comfortable. This is a well-cared-for property and it shows. As I've said, I've seen many other places, and this one stands out. Given it's close proximity to the splendor of RMNP, it is a real gem. Since I always have lots of questions, Christie was a pleasure to work with, both before and after our stay. She was very responsive and helpful. We all came up from the Front Range, and will be back again for the fun and relaxation. It would be hard to find a better place to stay.

Car: not necessary

Our home is located in the heart of town, up on a hill. Nestled in a private mountain setting, it is just a 5 minute walk down the hill into the very center of town. You can walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants without needing your car. Estes Park offers festivals and fun events nearly every weekend of the year!

If you do have a car, it is only a 5 minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park which offers endless outdoor activities, hundreds of miles of hiking trails, numerous lakes, ponds, rivers and waterfalls, and tons of wildlife including elk, deer, moose, mountain goats, birds and many more.
