The Beachcomber II enjoys a great in-town location....steps to the beach, restaurants, entertainment, and shops. We are family and pet friendly with a fenced yard and a fun playground just through the gate in the backyard.
The Beachcomber II features hardwood floors and soft relaxing colors throughout. You will pass under the dogwood trees through the front door and enter into the sunroom, into a large livingroom with cable television, pick your bedroom and get ready for family meals in the eat-in kitchen. Your choice of bedrooms is a sunny twin room with built-in-bookcases, a master bedroom, with queen bed and private bath or a queen size bedroom across from the second bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower. A bonus kids loft is upstairs with two twin beds, and window seat; we recommend it for for kids.
While enjoying your stay with us, we have provided an outdoor dining space under the trees with a gas grill. WIFI is provided.
Beachcomber II is a charming cottage, great for families, couples or girl's getaway. Last year we welcomed guests to the Beachcomber I on Hawthorne and so enjoyed giving guests a great place to relax and get-away. With the success of Beachcomber I, we bought this charming cottage, two blocks away on Wilder and are excited to be able to offer this for smaller groups this summer. We just completed the renovation with our first guests staying with us March 31st.The Beachcomber II; a 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation cottage with kid's sleeping loft is steps to the beach, shops and restaurants...please come and enjoy!!!

The enjoyment of the Beachcomber II isn't limited to the house. Along with the fenced yard; we feature a gas grill and outside dining under the trees, right outside the kitchen door. great for grilling out and crab picking! And just steps from the house are restaurants, shops, the beach, and fishing pier...be sure to get a soft serve ice cream at Nancy's, which you can see through the trees!

About Cathy Bokman
My husband and I, who live and work in the DC area, fell in love with Colonial Beach on our first visit in 2005 and bought a weekend house shortly thereafter. Since graduating from George Mason University; I entered the hospitality business. Being a cottage owner is something I love. It enables me to improve and beautify properties and provide a nice place for people to enjoy their vacations.
Cathy Bokman purchased this cottage in 2010
Why Cathy Bokman chose Colonial Beach
In 2009 we bought our first vacation rental, Beachcomber I. That house was a partnership with my sister and my husband's brother; it was a total renovation. I found though that people really enjoyed themselves and discovering Colonial Beach and the area. A year later, a childhood friend that I grew up with in Wellesley, Massachusetts called when she found this listing on the internet. This house, which became Beachcomber II didn't need nearly the amount of work as our first project and had the same great location; steps from town and beach...so we jumped in and started the work....hope you enjoy!
What makes this cottage unique
Beachcomber II has a great location, or as guests tell me...it is a gem. I know they enjoy the location steps to town, beaches and a playground just through the back gate. Also it is mostly on one floor, except the kid's loft.
