Situated on calle Carretas, right on the Puerta del Sol, this 3 bedroom apartment boasts an unbeatable location for those visiting Madrid for leisure and sight-seeing. You cannot get more central than this - Sol is the beating heart of the Spanish capital, and has been recently renovated and redesigned, breathing life into one of Madrid's most famous neighbourhoods. The streets that radiate out from the circular plaza lead to every part of the city, meaning most of the top sights and attractions are within easy walking distance. The area is vibrant and energetic, and is home to many great cafes, tabernas and restaurants. A nearby Corte Ingles department store and the art deco avenue the Gran Via both offer excellent shopping, whilst the historical districts of Los Austrias, Barrio de las Letras and Palacio are all nearby. The Sol metro and local train station is literally on the doorstep, meaning guests can experience the rest of the city and beyond with ease. Bright and spacious, the apartment itself has been decorated and furnished in a modern style throughout and is perfect contrast to its historical surroundings. The open-plan living and dining area is the focal point of the property and provides guests with a comfortable home away from home in which to relax after a long day's sightseeing. With classic floor-to-ceiling Spanish windows running one length of the room and looking directly out onto the famous Clock Tower in the Puerta del Sol, the space is flooded with light for much of the day. Fifth floor: The kitchen is separated from the living room area just to the right hand side from the entrance. It is fully equipped with a fridge / freezer, oven, microwave, 4-ring ceramic hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The living / dining room is on the left side with French balconies towards the street. It is furnished with a 2-seater sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table, a shelving unit with a TV and a DVD player and a wooden dining table for up to 4 people. There are 3 bedrooms: 1 master interior bedroom (queen-sized bed 1.60m x 2.00m), with an en suite walk-in shower; 1 exterior double-room (queen-sized bed 1.50m x 2.00m) and a interior twin-bedroom (with 2 twin beds 0.90m x 2.00m). There is a second bathroom with a walk-in shower. Please note there is laminated flooring throughout the apartment except for the bathrooms and the kitchen, which are tiled.
