Aghroud is perfectly situated near all the surfing beaches. This region is a surfers paradise, with waves ranging from the advanced surfer (Anchors, Killers, Boilers) to the beginners (Panaramas, Bannana beach and surf tuition available). Prime surf season is September to April, with sun all year - even in December/January it averages 24C T-shirts during the day (but cold at night). This self catering apartment is ideal for summer holiday and winter holiday rentals with sun all year round. The apartment has a large balcony to eat outside with a BBQ that is South facing so it gets the sun all day and you can see the sun set in the evening. The food is great (Tagines) and the cost of living is very cheap. Agroud is only 5 minutes drive from Taghazout and 35 minutes from Agadir and the airport (50 mins).

The appartment is in the El Bakara holiday complex which is a 25 drive from Agadir, in the village of Aghroud, just 5 mins from Taghazout. Follow directions for Essauoira and Taghazout. Aghroud is a small fishing village with a camping site - 5 mins past Taghazout. Agadir is a large modern city with all the restaurants, super markets and shops you would expect. It also has a large Souk for great local products to buy. Essaouira is a beautifully picturesque sea fortress that is just 1hr 40mins from the appartment. The Atlas mountains are also near by.

  • I refurbished the bathroom with new tiling and fixtures so that it looks contemporary. There is an open shower without a glass enclosure or show curtain (similar to a wet-room). There is a wash basin, mirror. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS AS THESE ARE NOT SUPPLIED.

Notes: Unlike a lot of Europe, Moroccan facilities can be less dependable and less smooth-running than in europe. This is part of life here. Please note that the swimming pool needs cleaning and maintenance from time to time and that unfortunately this can happen any time of year, so that the pool may not be available for periods of time. This can not be avoided and may mean you can't use the pool. Sorry, no refunds if empty. In Morocco, there can be shortages in water and electricity - these may be cut for periods of time during your stay. While every attempt will be made to restore water and electricity, this can happen from time to time. The Kitchen reasonably basic but has the essentials needed for a short stay. It has a 3 ring worktop stove linked to a large gas canister. There is no oven. One of the bedrooms has a damp patch on one wall where the paint has come off the wall - although this is repainted from year to year, the paintwork may have come off the wall in this area
