I am a frequent traveler to Nola and this was the first time I ventured out of the French Quarter b/c we had a large party and it was Halloween season. Words could not describe how impressive all of our interactions with this owner were from start to finish. He stayed in constant communication, answered all our questions courteously and efficiently and delivered exactly what was promised- an amazing hidden gem. The house was equipped with all the amenities my party of 6 needed: 3 bedrooms (a spacious Master Bedroom and full Master Bathroom with a double mirrored sink and primping nook; 2 other large bedrooms- one w/a Queen and one with double beds), full bathroom in the hall, full functioning kitchen w/dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, double kitchen sink vanity island, charming breakfast bar, gorgeous dining room table and chairs, large comfortable sectional couch, large tv stand, leather sofas in reading nook, laundry room w/washer and dryer, stereo, iron, hairdryer, closet space in every room, etc. I really can't sing it's praises enough. The high ceilings, open spaced layout and decor made it hard to leave and easier to come home to. Once we got over the thrill of the house, we stepped outside to the immediate deck to survey the rest of the property and nirvana quickly ensued when we discovered the immense beautiful grounds held surprises at every twist and turn! There are so many areas on this property to 'lose yourself' to whatever mood you fancy! The immediate deck, table, umbrella and chairs served as our wake-up area, with coffee in hand where'd we'd assess the weather of the day; before getting ready to hit the town, we'd walk our glasses of wine to the second outdoor area we coined the 'casablanca terrace' for it's intimate covered patio w/ a wicker couch, sofas, coffee table, ceiling fan and petrified wood fountain. The next area was the largest- a large pool, diving board, more patio chairs and table surrounded by lush NOLA plants and greenery- perfect for summer barbecues. The gazebo had a chandelier and seating for two and faced a koi pond, greenhouse and the pool. UNBELIEVABLE!! In my party we had writers and a yoga instructor that were constantly inspired merely walking the grounds! Trips to the Quarter consisted of a 15 min. cabride and the owner provided us with the local cab company which was very punctual and reliable. Needless to say, I am dying to revisit this and any other properties this man's name is attached to!
