FULLY REFURBISH APARTMENT SET IN BEAUTIFUL GARDENS WHICH HAVE STUNNING VIEWS

We have just returned from our holiday to La Gardenia-the property was everything we expected from the website. It was clean, tastefully furnished, well equipped and provided everything we needed for a lovely family holiday. With having three children the apartment was extremely spacious and provided ample accomodation. The pool was very family, friendly and the surrounding gardens beautifully maintained. It was our first time visiting Menorca, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have booked again for next year at La Gardenia. The owner, Jan was extremely helpful at answering any queries we had.

La Gardenia is a very well maintained complex overlooking the entrance to Mahon harbour.. It has beautiful gardens and lawns which are immaculately kept. Whilst we were there the gardeners were busy planting masses of bedding plants and trimming the palm trees. The pool is clean and a decent size and is plenty of space to sit. It is an easy 10 minutes walk into Es Castells where there are plenty of bars and restaurants,however there are bar/restaurants within 2 minutes walk, one with a lovely view over the harbour.
The apartment is immaculate,completely refurbished with new bathrooms and kitchen. It is comfortable and well equipped. It has two small balconies which can only accommodate two people,but we did not find this a problem.In May the whole area was extremely quiet with very little traffic and few people in the restaurants.We would certainly recommend this apartment to those looking for a
peaceful stay somewhere that has retained its unspoilt Menorcan character..
Our chief enjoyment came from exploring the island on the buses and walking the camis which are well signposted.There are excellent cycle trails and a fabulous coastal walk to Punta Prima along the Cami de Cavalls.We did not miss a car, although if you wished to explore the more remote coves and beaches it would be necessary.
Jan, the owner could not have been more helpful.Any enquiries were responded to promptly. There was a welcome pack of basics there when we arrived and her agents provided clean linen at the end of the first week.In fact we had such a good time that we have already booked again.

Have just returned from Menorca, having not been for many years. It was refreshing to find it still largely unspoilt, and very few developments of the ugly variety found on the other Islands and the mainland. Es Castell is a picturesque location, and the accommodation sits nicely in it. Whilst we used a car, it was not really necessary, as everything was convenient, and public transport services quite adequate.
The apartment was nicely furnished, well looked after, and very clean. Everything worked as it should, and even on our one wet day, we were very comfortable. We only used restaurants we could walk to, and enjoyed them all. (We didn't do any cooking). At this time of the year (Mid September), it was quiet, but everything was open. We had a really nice holiday, and will certainly return.
