About Mike Richards

We love to spend time as a family in southern Utah. We hope you'll experience as many precious family moments in Duck Creek Village as we have!

Mike Richards purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Mike Richards chose Duck Creek Village

Our family discovered Duck Creek Village over a decade ago while exploring Bryce Canyon and Zions National Park. We fell in love with it's peaceful charm. We knew it was a place where we'd want to spend a lot of time together as a family. Building a family cabin made perfect sense. We have loved getting away to the mountain as often as possible.

What makes this cabin unique

Some things we love about the cabin are it's proximity to ATV trails that lead to fantastic overlooks and wander through beautiful national forest land. We enjoy fishing at four pristine lakes that are close by and exploring interesting places like caves, water falls, slot canyons, lakes and streams. At the end of fun filled days it's always enjoyable to sit around the camp fire and talk about the good times.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hey! We had an awesome time here! Thank you so much for the nice cabin! There were so many places for sledding, tubing, and snowmobiling here. This is a great cabin. We had tons of snow in only 4 days. we had to call the plowers 3 times because it snowed so much but it was so fun!! We sent snowmobiling for 2 days and sledded and tubed for the other 2 days. Thank you so much for letting us rent this cabin. It was amazing. The cabin was WONDERFUL!!!

Ice fishing trip lodging

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I have been ice fishing at Panguitch Lake for about 28 years now. Since we started going we have stayed at quite a few places in the area. As the years went by it became harder to find a decent place in the Well this time we struck it rich at the place we stayed this year. By far the nicest, cleanest place ever. They had everything you would possibly need to cook or be very comfy. The house is just beautiful and lined out. We could not have found a better place to stay.

Out West Vacation

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time with our adult kids out west. The cabin had plenty of room for the 7 of us. The kitchen was great to prepare meals & eat in. It had 2 areas for watching TV & we only used the upstairs one, plenty of room for all of us. With 3 full bathrooms we had no problem getting showers & ready for the day. We saw some deer almost everyday wondering through the neighborhood, which was cool. We were less than 5 min. from Duck Creek Village which was nice for picking up general supplies, renting ATV's, & eating at Hot Mama's Pizza, which was really good. The sightseeing in Duck Creek, Bryce & Zion was amazing! Strawberry Point in Duck Creek is a must see! The location was centrally located between Bryce & Zion. I would recommend this cabin to friends & family.

National Parks Galore

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week in South Western Utah and this lovely Duck Creek Village cabin was the perfect evening and night-time respite from our busy, outdoor adventure days. The cabin is located close to many attractions and we only had enough time to see a few! We visited Bryce Canyon, the east and west sides of Zion, and spent a day skiing at Brian Head. This cabin was exceptionally clean, modern, and comfortable all the way around. Well equipped kitchen-- we had everything we needed. It is a bit of a drive to Cedar City for large-scale grocery shopping, but we knew that would be the case before we left home. We loved the remote, but not isolated feel of this location. Duck Creek Village is a place where the stars still shine bright! The only thing that would have been nice to have, but that we managed without, was a blow dryer. I don't generally pack a blow dryer when I travel because it's bulky and the places we stay always have them. Bring one if you can't live without it! Great rental, house was exactly as described, and easy rental process. You won't be disappointed.

Nice for Big Families

Overall a good experience. A few minor issues, but nothing to prevent us from staying again. I would certainly recommend based on the ability to accommodate large families.

THis Cabin is amazing and we can't wait to go back. The pictures on the web don't do it justice. The owner was a pleasure to deal with.
