Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 5)

This is an experience of a lifetime at an altitude with spectacular views. Williams Lake is a two mile hike and is home to the bighorn sheep and bald eagle. The Bavarian Inn, which is a short walk from the condo, is an excellent place to stop for beer and brats.

We fell in love with Taos 8 years ago during a ski trip and can only compare Taos Ski Valley to the German Alps. Each year we celebrated my husband's birthday at The Bavarian Inn, since he is from Bavaria, it seemed quite appropriate.

The lifts will open Nov. 24 and the snow is already falling. There are 110 trails, 24% beginner, 25% intermediate and 51% expert. There are 13 lifts and the winter season begins Nov. 24, 2011 until April 8, 2012.

Keywords: Stay at the highest elevation in our beautiful condo. A 4-WHEEL DRIVE vehicle is necessary. Its a moderate walk and pole (.2 mile) to Kachina Chair Lift #4 and The Bavarian Restaurant. If you have young children and require being close to the Ski School this is not the location for you.

About Owner

My husband is from Landsberg, Germany and I'm from Philadelphia, PA. Our love of skiing has taken us to Austria, Italy and Germany, but none can compare to Taos Ski Valley. Its as close to Europe as you can get without crossing the Atlantic. .

Why Owner chose Taos Ski Valley

The unique location of this condo makes it an experience of a lifetime. In addition, Taos Ski Valley is close to the town of Taos and only an hours drive to Sante Fe. You fly to Alburquerque and drive 2.5 hours to Taos Ski Valley. Direct flights are available from LAX on Southwest to Alburquerque. It is also only a 4 hour drive from Denver.

Our family of four have stayed and skied in Taos many times over the year, and this condo is our favorite spot so far. Close to Lift #4 so you can get to where you want on the mountain fast and easy. Clean, warm, modern condo with an excellent kitchen and comfy set-up. We loved our stay and would do it again, no question.

Wonderful Getaway

The condo was great. Exactly as described. The owner was quick to respond and very helpful throughout the entire experience. The condo was very nice and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, there were even baggies there. The location was beautiful way up at the very top of the hill. We had a great time there and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great winter weekend getaway

What a beautiful condo with a gorgeous view! The owners thought of all the amenities and comforts of home. Loved the heated tile floors and terry robes!! Easy access to lift 4 and best of all the Bavarian!! And the garage with storage for our ski stuff is a plus. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.

My husband booked this condo for us and said it was at the highest point you could go to by car in Taos. He was not kidding. The view is pristine!!! There is a short walk to lift #4 so if you start skiing in the morning you get all this fresh powder since few people can start right at chair four unless they drive up there. The condo is very comfortable and has a great kitchen and heated tile floors ( which I Loved!!). There is more than enough blankets, linens and dishes for everyone. The fireplace is perfect for warming up after being out in the cold. I would highly recommend this condo for a couples retreat or family vacation. It's was beautiful and so very very cozy.

Family Ski Vacation

Arrangements with owners went so smoothly. Arrived at Taos Ski Valley and had no trouble driving/finding the location of the condo. The owner has literally thought of everything you would need for a vacation stay. Beautiful home, wonderful kitchen, warm and cozy living room with fireplace and fabulous heated flooring....great for a January ski trip! We skied, hiked, cooked, played cards and relaxed while enjoying the fabulous view of the mountain. Great access to Lift #4 and the Bavarian Lodge. We skied mornings, then back to the condo for a hot lunch, then back out to finish the day skiing. So nice to be so close to the trails. The bedrooms were very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The views of the mountains covered in snow were breathtaking! Would highly recommend this condo; husband, children and I didn't want to go home!!
