Grew up Bermuda
Live in Scotland on a boat now.
Nicky purchased this chalet in 2003
Used to live in central London, this is an amazing location away from it all.
I am told it has some :) one of them being that people can feel at home very quickly
Mark mentioned that you emailed, but he has yet to get a chance to email you back. We thoroughly
enjoyed our stay. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The fact that you have everything available for
our use (dishes, towels, CD player, fire starters, etc) made the stay even better. Honestly, we have
been talking so highly about it ever since we have returned. We would LOVE to come again with a
couple friends. The pictures we took have sparked a lot of interest from both our families, and we
know it is booked through the summer, but we are planning on staying again. I hope we left it in decent
shape. We had to rush off Friday morning.
Sorry I can't be helpful with suggestions to make it better, because it really was wonderful. All that we
hoped for and more!
I hope to stay again in the future!
Have a great day.
Amazing place. The Bubble is as good as a log cabin by a loch can get. !
Perfectly positioned.. views are incredible. The huge windows frame the world in such a beautiful way. Extremely comfortable in every corner. Great fire. Lovely dining area. Comfy beds. Attention to detail. Everything you could need for your stay. I cant wait to go back...!
I really needed time to myself to wind down and relax. Having been to Dalavich a number of times in the past I knew the area would give me that isolation. But in previous visits, when the Forestry Commission owned the site, the cabins were, to say the least "rustic" but I was used to that. But what a gem The Bubble turned out to be! It had been modernised to a good standard and with many quirky aspects that made it interesting as well as comfortable. Nicky, the owner, proved to be really helpful. I've hired cottages many times over the past 40-odd years and have never come across an owner so understanding and adaptable, he made the visit extra special.
I'd planned for bad weather and got it in Spades, I had rain, sleet, snow, a thunderstorm, thundersnow and freezing nights (and some days). But with the background heating in the cabin, together with a paraffin stove I was always warm and comfortable. The roaring log fire every night was a good end to the day with a good book and a tipple or two.
The view over Loch Awe from the lounge and the deck was to die for for a city dweller.
I have no hesitation in recommending The Bubble to others, I know I'll be back.
Loved the lodge. The views were spectacular even in January. It's exactly what we thought it would be. It has a quirkiness about it that myself and my grown up kids loved about it. It is very remote but that's what we loved about it as we wanted it to be a family occasion .
We came for a short trip from Germany just for three nights and spend an amazing time in the bubble. We loved the view at the Loch from the couch and the beanbag and enjoyed the silence. The bedroom upstairs is very cosy. Thanks Nicky for answering all questions very fast, caring for all things in need and your humorous description in the house.
The cabin very homely and well equipped. Even though we only had the pleasure of meeting the owner when we left we felt very well looked after. Would definately stay again.
I booked this place for my husband and his pals. The booking process was easy, as the owner Nicky is efficient in replying and easy to deal with.
My husband and his friends really enjoyed their stay and said it had everything they could have needed.
A Swiss style waterfront chalet, near to the Remote Village of Dalavich on the Shores of Loch Awe .
